Juicy July

WDA

I really do love my fellow trainees / colleagues / friends at work. We are really a tight bunch and are in fact deemed the happiest people in our office and I like that. We are totes playful and it's kinda sad our contract to work for is only 6 months. Regardless, I love this bunch of people with all my heart. I am hoping with all the possibly upcoming weddings and functions, we will be able to meet each other pretty soon even after work ends.

As we make fun of Daniel, #WDAForLife! Hahahaha

Conducting a make up class in the middle of class breaks during training time.

My Boobie. I love this girl so much and her lil boy Akhil, is such a sweetheart. Anything at all, I am here for you babe, and I really do mean it with all my heart. <3 <3 <3

There was this day where there was free yogurt and even a photo-booth and you know me. I'll never keep still and am always on the move wanting to try new things and of course enjoying free stuff. Yogurt and a photo-booth ain't new but at work, it sure as hell is.

I love this gurl! Farain you da SASS QUEEN!

God! Dhivya is truly the best and most entertaining "Valak" HAHAHAHA!
This was when Syakillah, Dhiv and I all coincidentally packed Tom Yum cup noodles from home for our lunch. Smitha is the person I buddied with that day. Yeap, we are learning to answer calls already. Soon, it'll be our final assessment and then it all comes to whether we really get the job.

My Man Slut Daniel found a new job and he'll be leaving. I sure as hell will miss him to bits! The North South / Red Line Going-Back-Home-Together crew. Jeffrey is missing in this photo because he fled at Dhoby Ghaut for something!

Hari Raya 2016

Every year without fail, Papa wears white irregardless of what the family's wearing. Sometime late last year or early this year, I told my family, why not we go white for once? So that all of us could match together. And before we had the chance, Papa left us.

All the outfits were purchased anyway and mine was from Zalora. I would say that I simply loved the simplicity of the outfit and it gave off this elegant vibe with the exquisite embroidery and even the cutting and styling of it.

I have not adorned Henna for the past 3 years due to commitments like modeling and financial difficulties. Finally I was given a chance that 2016 shall be my year! I am going to wear Henna 3 times this year. One is for Hari Raya, the other is for a wedding and the last would be for Deepavali.

I'm going to experiment with all 3 colors. A dark reddish brown / maroon for Raya, black for the wedding and white for Deepavali.

So here's the first. For Hari Raya, I decided to take it a little simple. My Henna designs were rather unique. One was inspired by Rihanna's hand tattoo and the other by Sophia Miacova's Henna during the 2016 Coachella.

A whole bunch of short Snapchat videos to showcase the Raya Night Madness!
I was so glad that Maami came over to stay!!

Suraj totally made my day with this one picture that he shared with The NiggAPACHE on the morning of Raya! It sums it all up so nicely. HAHAHA

I was inspired by Kylie Jenner's Ariel Glam Hair and decided to give it a shot although I have waaayyyy shorter hair and couldn't be bothered with hair extensions.

Decided to be bold and went for an orange lip.

The henna turned a beautiful maroonish brown thanks to Zizi's "How To Make Your Henna Darker" Tips.

After eating, or shall I say pigging out like 3 rounds of Dum Briyani and stuff, my lipstick was all gone but I truly couldn't be bothered to touch up. heh.

Also since my hair was braided at the back, I decided to untie it and just tie it into a simple bun. And... BOOM! That's when they decided to take a family shot. #MyLife

With the most beautiful woman in the whole wide world!

MY SISTERS ARE SO FRIGGIN GORGEOUS!!!!

Kayden's 1st Birthday

Reetha, my sweet babe, my first friend of WDA left work. But she was honestly the sweetest because she called Dhivya and me over.

I had no idea what to give to a 1 year old kid. I am not so used to going for little people, a.k.a, babies' birthdays. I decided to get him 2 things which I thought didn't only look cool & cute but serves a purpose.

Kayden's Gifts:

Firstly, a pacifier. What better way then to make your kid look like a true Gentleman?

Baby infant pacifier - funny designs pacifier, baby nipple cute teeth moustache BPA free

Next a bib and it looks like a Tuxedo. So Kayden all in all will look like the cutest ever Gentleman baby boy!

My precious Akhil!

I carried Chanel which was a mix between a Pomeranian and a Fox. She was beautiful although I had a super soft spot for Reetha's dog which was a lovely, cute and uber friendly toy poodle. Upset that I don't have a picture with her but she was such a sweetheart.

Goodbye Apple. Hello Android

On July 20, I decided to make the switch. I changed my phone from an iPhone 5 to a Samsung S7.

I am a 4 years Apple User and now I'm thrown into the Android World. At first it was really tough, especially the keypad but after a while, I must say that it ain't that bad and I actually love it! Thank you Dalan for hooking me up with this phone.

The perks of having your best friend who lives so near you and who ends work around the same time as you. Dalan along with his friends helped me purchase this phone during their lunch and he was nice enough to meet me after work to pass it to me because he knew that I couldn't contain my excitement to hold my new phone.

I still do keep my iPhone as I've yet to download all the music into my Samsung. Also because although my iPhone is in a crappy and almost dying condition, it's still functioning. So for that sake at least.

My first HD photo after laying hands on it!

Momma's 58th Birthday

My Queen turns 58 this year and as per the birthday girl's wish, things MUST go her way cuz that's how it's supposed to be. Hehehe

Momma wanted to try out this place at Little India called Apollo Bistro. Little did we know that it was actually a bar, but hey we still went there and had dinner plus we even drank mocktails while listening to Momma & Maami sharing their teenagehood badass and clubbing experiences. Huehuehue

We treated her to dinner and also let's just say we got her an item that had been on her wishlist for quite some time and that is a SUPER DUPER SOFT WINNIE POOH PLUSHIE! I shared her reaction on Snapchat and how she was like a lil kid on Christmas upon receiving her gift. We love you and treasure you a whole lot and you mean the world to us. We never want to see you sad and will do our best to keep that smile on your face and treat you like the Queen that you are meant to be treated. I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON & BACK MOMMA!!

Aideel's Open House + Kabali

Habib!!!! Raihan & I were testing how strong Habib was and he surpassed our expectations by taking turns in carrying Raihan and me from Zizi's car to the cinema. My family and cousins hogged at Causeway Point ti watch Kabali and I gotta say, the movie was pretty interesting. It is highly relatable to our lives in Singapore,

Fun Fact: The movie was shot in Malaysia.

Damn! I wished I had kept the videos taken at Aideel's house. Why you ask? After 2 weeks we were all excited to see Vinod returning back from Tekong and he was bald!!!! Haha just like Dalan an CZY previously, he too now has the Velvet & Carpet effect.

We had Pizza, enjoyed eating kueh and were all ears when Vinod shared his adventures in Tekong. After that, Aideel & I tagged team to kick Dalan's butt in Worms. Honestly one of the rare few games that I actually enjoy playing. Mind you, you gotta work a controller for this.

Azhim's Wedding

The last segment of this blog post and also the last event of July. Azhim, my cousin was getting married!!!! His wife.., let's just say, they're pretty well to do that it really calls for the occasion to dress to kill and that means one word. Royalty!

The wedding was on 30 July (Saturday), which means I had to miss roof session with the guys. I didn't wanted to miss it at all because I would be missing one more on the first week of August and most importantly, Fariz was finally free. He has been so busy with work that he had missed out quite a number of outings and even TGIFs. God! I missed that guy so much and was looking forward to see him. It sucks cuz he didn't show up. But... I am so glad I'll finally see him and in fact the whole group (hopefully) will come together for Suicide Squad!

Since I can't go to the guys, I thought they could come to Tekka. So that we could all be together, I would get my Henna done and as for them, they could get food. I mean after all we are suckers for good food!!!

At first it was just Dalan, Vishnu and me. In the end, CZY, Sara and even Vinod showed up so I was like YAY! TGIF wasn't completely gone.

So, I met with Dalan first after work and we made our way to Jewel Palace as I wanted to purchase a Saree. Yeap! It'll be my first time tying one. I'll do so for Deepavali. Here's the thing, Vishnu was supposed to have reached earlier, considering how close he stayed to Little India... But that bugger came later as he thought I would still be shopping for my saree.

Dalan too looked skeptical when I brought him to the shop. He recognized the place as his mum shops there. Dalan is used to standing or finding some quiet corner to sit, in a saree shop for about 5 - 7 hours on average. So it was record breaking when I entered the shop, checked out the sarees and purchased it and left the shop in a record breaking 10 minutes.

I surpassed the expectations of all the guys with how long a woman should and can spend in a saree shop. It's easy, I had a color scheme in mind and also had a budget. Plus the biggest bonus I guess is the kind of shopper I am. If I see it, and I fall in love with it immediately because it totally allures and enchants me, I'll get it. That was how I got my saree. I cannot wait to wear it. I'm pretty excited about it actually!

For Raya it was more of a simple design. For this wedding, it's more grand plus I wanted to get it in black. Get the whole tattoo vibe!!!

Dalan & Vishnu are truly the sweetest cuz they didn't ditch me. In fact, they sat with me and we all had a ball talking while I was getting my Henna done.

Had Palkova, Gulab Jamoon and even the traditional Teh Tarik and Singapore's BEST Chendol!

The only thing we were missing out on would be all the Gorengs but we had really delicious and might I add affordable food at Ghandi's. MMMMMDAP to the max!

My beautiful henna! God I LOVE BLACK HENNA SO DARN MUCH!

Welcome Vinod!!! He met us after booking out! Doesn't he make a fine soldier?!

Next.... the big day!

Wedding Morning!!!

I am excited as if it was mine. I guess going all Princessy got me excited!

Yes you guys, I am wearing a Tiara!

Decided to try something new with a silly catwalk video.

Song: High Heels by Jaz Dhami

My favorite shot of the day! I really love the color and in fact the whole outfit! I even wore pink bangles. Maybe that's why I love it so much? It's PINK! I truly felt like a Princess. :')

This sweet girl, helped me for a solid 20 minutes tryna stick them fake eyelashes but I guess $2 ones don't really work for first timers, and it was so uncomfortable I had to take 'em off. But thank you Preethi for being so patient with my eyes and especially being Raihan's best friend and dolling her up.

The Wedding was held at Joyden Hall. That's on the 7th floor of Bugis +. The Decor was truly mesmerizing. The coordinator and stylist are Shaabaz.

Thank you to my cousin, Waheedah for giving me a chance to talk to wedding planner. I've already sent my resume and can only hope I get a chance. Because, if it is a green light in him allowing me to work with him and be a part of his company, I'll be more than glad and thankful that I'm a step closer to being a wedding planner.

The food was really tasty and there was even a Dessert & Ice Cream bar that I loved the most. hehehehe Desserts for life!

All in all, July was a great month and as I am about to post this... We would be welcoming August. Yeap. The 8th month of 2016.

To more happy memories, and good news to be heard, and fun times to live

xoxo
