My Special 18th

SPECIAL 18th. {part 1}

So here's what happened on Thursday, 16th Jan.

At midnight, my gorgeous sisters decided to surprise me. You see, lately I have been really sick. In fact, I have been constantly falling sick. High fever, a bad flu, sore throat, tonsillitis, cramps, and just a few days back a major back and ribs ache due to the worst UTI I had ever experienced. 

Well, I am hoping that since this month has been really rough on me, hopefully the months to come will be much nicer. 

Apart from school, everything has been going really well so far this 2014 :)

School is school, and RP is RP. I've been having UTs constantly, my last UT2 would be on Monday. As you can see, I'm pretty busy and occupied with school that there's barely time to sit and breathe. Maybe, that's why i've been falling sick non-stop. Well, it's about time things change. I really want to go on a short weekend staycation but time and money are not really on my side now. Maybe sometime this year though.   

On a happier note, I had a great birthday this year!

My family and friends put in so much effort and gave me a sweet surprise at home, in school and outside. It was really touching and i felt really special indeed.

So, back to my story...hehehe always getting distracted

My sisters at midnight came to my room, woke a really sick girl up and got me cupcakes!

Please excuse my bad photography skills, I'm working on that..which is precisely why I need to save up and get my pretty pink camera!

Zizi also made me a beautiful card filled with advises haha!

Went back to sleep and woke up for my Business Stats Module that day. The lesson was pretty tough and I was dying to be that much focused!

Decided to doll up a bit on that day! Been saving this dress for a special occasion...

SPECIAL 18th. {part 2}

This is where my second surprise came! It was during my break, Nuriah was apparently "asking" me a Biz Stats question and I was just about to answer her when...BOOM! The surprise came. Let me let the pictures do the talking instead!

My dear babes actually made a collage of my face and flashed it on the projector from her lappy! I mean OMG! How sweet can one get?! I do simply LOVE PLUSHIES!!! And I actually got a huge Winnie the Pooh (Extra cute cuz of that pink sparkly detail). Arfah, the girl who is crazay over her mask actually got me some really COOL masks that spelled LEGAL and it also had a heart! I mean come on! Who wouldn't like that! Love the cupcakes that Nuriah got like A LOT! Cuz it really tasted AMAZING! My fav would be the vanilla cupcake which had the little pink pearls with the icing/frosting.

Wanted to get all of my work done ASAP after school so I had time to PARTAY a little bit longer! I had another UT the next day, so my partying could not have been for so long.

I was upset and really down with some personal issues and was not really in the mood to party. I was on the way to meet a bunch of friends and of cuz my bestie! Yep, I did cry and all but my spirits was lifted after I saw them and also Nuriah! Wow, that girl really touched my heart that day!!!!!

SPECIAL 18th. {part 3}

This 3rd part, has got to do with the beauty in this amazing thing called friendship.

Took a stroll and sort of enjoyed the breeze. Not the best idea when you're sick, but so what?! Met up with my friends and the outdoor party begins!

My oh-so awesome cake!!! I did not eat it as it was a chocolate cake, but practically finishes all the white roses as they were WHITE CHOCOLATE!!! My ultimate fav!!!!

Yup, although I did not quite eat it, Nuriah!!!!!!Totally bashed my face with it and my friends had to make it worse by rubbing on it! Ended up with breakouts almost everywhere especially my forehead! Grrrrrr

Well, at least I had my facial wash with me that day! 

YAY JERICHO kinda saved my life!!!

There was tonnes of fun and laughter and I really had a truly amazing time!

SPECIAL 18th. {part 4}

 After all the partying, don't worry..I know I'm 18 but I did not get drunk or even consumed any alcohol that day!

I went home to another surprise!

This is the Rainbow cake Mama attempted to bake! The inside had many colors like orange, green and so on. the best part? They tasted delightful!

I went to sleep afterwards as my temperature was rising. I had to rest as I have UT the next day. Nevertheless, this has by far been my best birthday! I honestly thought my 16th was the best..but this seriously topped it off! The gifts..the people and most importantly, the thought and effort behind it meant the most to me.

Turning 18 has made me realized that I should really appreciate what I have now and I should try to do whatever I've always wanted to do before it's too late. I am now officially legal and it's about me starting a whole new chapter of my life, growing up into a young adult and taking on even heavier responsibilities.

I told myself that I am  going to work even harder, push myself even further and set higher goals for myself o achieve. I am young and I have the time and passion. I just need the motivation and support from my loved ones and I will do what I can do to not let them down. I am truly happy that I have so may people around me to love and care for me. I want to do well and have amazing opportunities coming my way. I want to seize them and succeed. 

But at the same time, we never know what tomorrow may bring. So this year, instead of concentrating too much on how to be successful, I'm gonna have a balance and learn how to appreciate and enjoy life with my loved ones too. I want to mend broken friendships and create stronger bonds with people that matter. Life is really too short for hatred, grudges and regrets. Turning 18 made me think and reflect on this. 

I plan to spend my 2014, my first year being a legal, really well. I want to hang out with my family more cause I've realized that as I grow up, my parents are growing old. I want to make more time for my personal relationships.. by this I mean family and friends and the bond with them to grow. I also plan to have some me-time. By that I mean just relaxing and taking things slowly and actually genuinely breathe a little once in a while.

I can be a workaholic and I know that I'm a perfectionist. That is why I am only saying relaxing a little and work the remaining. 80% work, 15% bonding, 5% me,myself and I. 

It's still January (although it's coming to an end really quickly I must add) and it's still a fresh start and I want to be able to look back at 2014 with a huge smile on my face knowing that it was a genuinely good year. It's not gonna be about me this year. It's about gonna be about the people that matters, my family, my friends and my loved ones.

Putting all that aside, here are some of  the gifts that I got (that were not mentioned earlier) and the people I wanna thank for making my 18th memorable and simply perfect.

P.S: It really felt like Christmas when I was opening the gifts! My fav season/festival anyway so YAY

A cardigan bought by another friend, Suraj. Well, he didn't know my size so I can't blame him! Moreover, it's a cardigan. So I don't mind it being lose.

So that's all! That was how my 18th went! I did not go all cray cray with smoking, drinking, clubbing! But instead spend some time with my family and friends and also because I had my exams..so I guess I'll be chilling only during my hols..even that is for a while as I'll be most prolly working. I'm busy like a bee! Like 50-cent said, Get Rich, Or Die Tryin!

By the way here are 2 things I would recommend all of you to get hold of!

For Pepero or Cookies and Cream or White Chocolate lovers, do try this new 

flavor! It's called white cookies and it tastes so scrumptious! 

Also, do grab a copy of February's Cleo issue! I am in love with the sunsilk booklet mainly because the gushcloud bloggers/influencers are in it and my Fav Blogger of ALL TIME, Eunice Annabel, is gracing the cover of the booklet! She's simply stunning!!!

I wanna thank my babes, Arfah, Faz and especially Nuriah to have made my day in school the BEST DAY in school ever! And Nuriah..the amount of effort you went through especially for the delicious cupcakes! I am so grateful I had come across you in my life! Same classes for Year 1 Sem 1 & 2 and I am hoping many many more! You are truly an inspirational girl and I admire the strength you have! Remember, whenever you need me, just text or call..I'll be there.

To all my friends who are practically my brothers and sisters to me..thank you so much for the outdoors party and Sharlini, thank you for being that babe and for that lovely red dress.
