Weird Dreams X Designs X Momo Ma's 64th

I am so sorry for not blogging..my wifi is still down. :'( 

I am blogging from my aunt's house, using their house wifi of course. 

Before I start off, I wanted to say that I tried uploading my video in RP..let me just say that I encountered a lot of problems. I think I'll upload it when I'm home, once the wifi is working (hopefully soon!) and that I would not edit this one as I don't really know how to. 

The reason why the first segment is titled weird dreams would be because that's exactly what I've been encountering lately. So many weird dreams. I dreamt that I was a princess..like a legit one. A nurse who was helping injured war soldiers,an angel, a dancer, a deer (yea the animal) and even a VS angel! That was the most fun part! Haha, strutting down the runway with the most gorgeous pink and white wings! Hehehe

I bought the wooden figurine to design clothes and stuff from extra fabric at home. But two problems. Firstly, I am preoccupied with other things moreover school is going to start in a weeks time. My H-modules are on Mondays and Wednesdays but they end at 4.15pm! I mean come on! What happened to H modules ending at noon! Fat hopes I guess..well at least I enjoyed the freedom of it for one semester. Ok, back to the point. The second reason why I haven't sewed yet is because I can't really sew that well..yeap..not the best.

Let me show you guys some of my sketches. I have not sketch that much..but I started sketching at the age of 14. It was a fun job. But like I've mentioned before (well I think I have) I am someone who would rather wear a designer brand (hopefully they design and custom tailor it for me) than to design my very own. Too much effort! Haha

Now I'm at Pasir Ris, in my aunt's house. It's her 64th birthday! I call her Momo Ma! She's practically my 2nd mum. She looked after my sisters and I when my parents when to Hajj. I love her to bits!

I bruised my knee pretty bad..I literally chipped of pieces of a "fake wall"!!! Argh!i hope I can still walk. I'll blog soon..and also hopefully upload the video (Room Tour)!

I just sent my photo for the sunsilk hair challenge. I know I'm going up against huge names like Naomi Neo. But I do hope I win. The weekly prize is good. But the grand prize is so amazing! A one night stay at W hotel! The winner can bring along 2 other girls! I really want to stay at W hotel! It's simply aaahhh!!! Hahah

Modelling Journey 2.0

So this would be my first time blogging via my iPhone 5..kinda cool. So..where was I? Ouh yea,modeling journey 2.0.

In 2012,when I was 16,(yea yea my o levels year) I entered The New Paper New Face a.k.a TNPNF..I made it to the top 25..really blessed. It was unlike any competition. You need to be kinda cheesy. That's not a bad thing, runway involved smiling and posing instead of merely looking fierce.

I made lots of friends, sweet sweet girls. Wish we kept in touch though. I was the youngest there..the others were 2-5 years older..but it's ok,I can converse well though..like I make small talk (pretty much an Aunty).

We met with the 2011 alumni too. They were really nice and supportive offering us tips. They were super friendly and I wish I could've stayed longer..but as I made it only to the top 25..after that I had to leave..:( if not I would've liked to stay & bonded with the ladies!

After this..I waited until O's ended..before I continued Modelling. I did some Modelling for freelance photographers  and also for some blogshops..the experience was life changing..it shaped my fascination for fashion photography..honestly, although it sounds narcissistic, I do like being photographed. At the same time,it led me to want to learn photography (hehe,sakthiish is willing to teach me..yay!)

So..speaking about fashion..my fav all time favorite model would be Victoria Secret Angel,the face of Mango,a model who started her own skin care line Kora Organics...MIRANDA KERR ofcousre! I mean you'd be CRAZY not the love her..sexy yet she has a girl next door aura..Guys wanna be with her, and girls wanna be her. Too bad ladies and gentlemen, she's taken by Orlando bloom. Their simple marriage followed their much spoken about adorable son,Flynn! I can't get enough of her..she's like my female crush! Haha:)

Deepavali 2015

Lemme start by saying Deepavali was kinda a roller coaster for me this year. 

On the eve of Deepavali, I took off and was busy unpacking and arranging my items. Visiting with my family was only to 2 houses and in terms of friends, it was just one - Sharlini's and also I came after work which means no traditional costume. :'(

I really wanted to get henna this year. I didn't have the time and it's been over 2 years since I put on henna. I will try for either black henna or flash tattoos (gold) designs next year. 

 

On the actual Deepavali Day, I wasn't with Sharlini this day but she looked so gorgeous! And her lipstick just makes her pop so much more!!!

I on the other hand, didn't end up going traditional but instead more dressy and ready for town kinda look. 

With lipstick and make up still on.

The only 2 houses for Deepavali visit. First was Papa's eldest brother.

Had the wisest conversation with an uncle who I must say, clearly fascinates me and is truly knowledgeable about so many things. 

 Towards the end of the day and my lipstick and make up is mostly gone.

After Sharlini changed, it was time for me to borrow her bindi!!!! It's so pretty!

I sure as hell wanted Aideel, Ari & Vinod to have been here. It was so lovely, and I mean everything. I just felt that it would've been complete had you 3 been there and Foulmouth Babyface, you are truly missed by all of us. I can't wait for you to come back! I wanna give you a big bear hug and slap the hell outta you for leaving us for 2 months!!!! I really miss you. 

Please take care in the remaining time you have and also, do have as much fun as you can! We all wanna hear all about it! Bring a girl back!! hehehe

Tired as hell after this visit. So... Deepavali I had to have an outfit with a UK flag on my shirt! Hahaha, why not eh?

Let me end this post with 10 things. This post is more picture heavy and also it's my 3rd blog post of the day! The rare moments I actually have a breather and can blog during work. If not, it's insanity I tell you.

Lemme go on with it then.

Next year for sure, I know what I wanna do! More like a 10 MUST HAVES!

1. Bindi (Pretty Glittery Tiny Stickers)

2. Do my hair up all nicely

3. Have Make up on point

4. Even get my nails done, MANICURE!!!

5. Use heels or at least a nice pair of shoes

6. Get a SAREE!!! Yup I'll be 20 next year and it'll be my first time using one. Don't think I know how to tie the real one, so a ready made one will have to do. I cannot wait to buy & wear one!!!! 

7. DO HENNA!!!!!!!!!!

8. Carry a super cute clutch to add on to my outfit

9. Go visiting to houses like what Malays do for Jalan Raya, so not just 1 or 2 houses but to as many as I can.

10. Camwhore overload along with solo shots with people who hopefully will be decked out in traditional outfits too.

I can't wait for Deepavali 2016 when Deepavali 2015 just ended. I love dressing up! Can't help it!!! Only thing I am not quite looking forward to in 2016, is the fact that I turn the big 20. Ewwwww.

Other than that, I am ready to embrace all things positive and overcome anything challenging and just be happy. Especially happy looking forward to festivities.
