Adventures of Hana: September 2014

There is a quote that goes a little something like, "Yesterday is History, Tomorrow a Mystery, Today is a Gift, That's why it's called the Present."

It is true, a gift indeed. In my case, literally.

As I had mentioned earlier, September is the month in the whole of this year that I had spent so much of money! Mostly on birthday gifts but..it was really worth it!

I had a photoshoot on Saturday and it was really well paying. I decided to do something small for myself after the shoot. By that I mean, give myself some therapy. SHOPPING therapy!!!

With whatever I made, I saved 3/4 of it and out of the 1/4 some was kept for expenditure and expenses and stuff like for food and so on while majority of it was spent on..SHOPPING!!!!!!!!

It felt so good to go on a shopping spree! Although it was a mini one, it sure still felt good. My only wish was that if I had the chance to actually shop with Sharlini! Afterall, she is the BEST shopping buddy!!!!! #1

You must be wondering why I called this blog a gift then? I mean I shopped. Does that mean all the "gifts" I got them for myself?! HELL NO!!!!!

From this blog, A LOT of gifts, in fact 3/4 of them came from Aussie from someone really special and close to my heart and I cannot thank him enough for this.

I really felt like a Princess receiving all these overwhelming amount of pretty gifts! I can't say hoe blessed and thankful I am.

To start off, I'll say what I bought for myself.

Pepero!!!!! And this is my FAV flavor, after this, it's almond! I had to lay my hands on this when I saw this baby in 7-11!

After this, I literally got myself a pink box! It looks prettier in real life. This picture doesn't quite show the pinkness of it. Anyway, it's a mailbox! It's to store all of my post-its, safety pins, matchboxes and so on! It's just really cute and like I said before, I have a HUGE thing for boxes! haha

After this, the ONLY and MAIN and MY FAV make-up product....

The EYELINER!!!!!!!!!

Every girl needs to look good and feel good! Even our lingerie has to make us look and feel good that's why we use pretty lingerie!

Sorry boys, we don't dress up fancy for y'all but for ourselves! haha!!!

I got them at Pierre Cardin and the colors are just so... aaaaahhhhhhh

I always HAVE to have this cologne! Don't question it. I know it's for kids but there are just days (lots of days) I just wanna use it or at the very least smell it. I got the name Bat Sniffer as one of my nicknames from NiggAPACHE cuz they saw me sniffing this. hehehe

Next, a semi-cropped top from Factorie as it was under sale!

It even has a cute pocket!

COTTON ON IS A MUST! A white lace printed crop top and a checkered skirt that I have been eyeing on for the longest period of time! Finally got my hands on them both and yeap also during sale period!!!!

Now.. for all the gifts that I had received!

To start off, Ariana Grande's second album, My Everything!

I really love her, actually mainly her vocals! It's just ASTOUNDING!!!!

Next, Mianda Kerr's second book, Empower Yourself!

Now I own both the albums and the books! Yipeeeeeee!!!!!!

Typo & Factorie are both Australian brands. Remember how I said, all the gifts are mainly from Australia? Yeah.. here they go.

My very own planner for 2015! It's actually a very pretty shade of pale pink.

Now, I can carry this everywhere next year and not only be a planner but look that part too!

I have brought Sharlini and Asswipe to Factorie before and gushed about these calendars! I just never thought I would own them because it was simply too pricey. Apparently, there was a sale in Australia and I got the WHOLE SERIES! All 9 of the calendars.

The reason why I wanted them was so that I could make my scrapbook (for wedding ideas and concepts) much more nicer and also make way more fancier birthday cards!

Following this..I am sure y'all know what a trench coat is. I have always wanted to own one. Walk in them in the streets of NYC or something classy like that. Singapore doesn't permit that because of the heat and humidity.

Instead, I received something that I can wear in Singapore! A trench coat inspired skirt!!!! It is really pretty!

If only I was a better photographer!!! ;)

Next, a gorgeous maxi dress and it's almost backless and I cannot wait for an event to wear this beautiful piece!

Lastly, a tiffany blue dress with ponies! hahaha

This just reminds me so much of Breakfast At Tiffany's! I can be Audrey Hepburn (or try to be her) for a day! huehuehuehue

I never did try any of the outfits (ok I did). But I am not going to post me in them just yet. I have to save them for proper OOTD shots and for proper events after all right? haha!

I have blogged multiple times saying how much I've always wanted Victoria's Secret products because it is my ALL TIME FAVORITE BRAND! I do not need to cry watching the Fashion Show anymore. It is true, I do not have the wings or even the pretty bras..but so what?!

I can finally smell like a VS Angel! I am now a proud owner of my very own VS products!!!!

I received both of my long anticipated perfumes and also body mists! The best part, I LOVE ALL of the fragrances I received!!

I may not live in a castle. I may not have a Prince Charming. I may not have a Noble Steed.

But I do have my family, the AMAZING NiggAPACHE and everyone who treats me right and show love, care and concern for me. That itself is enough for this girl here to feel like a million dollars and to feel like a real princess.

I don't need to be showered with gifts to feel loved. I can't take them with me once I die. I treasure my experiences with people I love and care about the most.

Well, I'm up this morning after a whole day of cycling. Technically, I didn't cycle but was brought on an amazing journey with the NiggAPACHE! I was part of #TeamGreen! #GreenRepresent haha!!!

It was really crazy and fun! I wish all of NiggAPACHE could have made it, but it's ok..sometimes if all of The NiggAPACHE get together, it's just a MASSIVE BALL OF EPIC FUN AND DESTRUCTION!!! We could all save that for another time!

I am pretty hyped as I had a good breakfast and also, because it's just 4 more days to the finals. Yeap, The New Paper New Face 2014 is held on 2nd October at Takashimaya from 6.30pm.

I have been attending rehearsals and in fact this week, from Monday to Wednesday, it'll be back to back rehearsals and Tuesday will be a REALLY LONG DAY!!!! It includes fitting and getting my roots touched up at Monsoon!

Well, I was craving for some 7-11 brownies and got them before rehearsals!

I chances upon the new Cadbury. It included biscuits and I just had to get them. Moreover, it was under some promotion. Got these 2 packets for $2.50.

Our practice videos. My ankle was still recovering from the sprain I suffered the night before my babe's birthday celebration. This explains why I was spotted having an ankle guard on. I cannot say how much it hurts when I walked in heels the first time after the sprain, but it got better overtime!!! So yay!!!!!!!!!

A loyal Liverpool supporter! I can wear my comfy jerseys at any point of time! I pair them up with FBT shorts for a more sporty look, Jeans or Hot Shorts for a more chilled look and as LIVERPOOL!!! Wear it however, just wear it PROUD!!! hehe

Now, for the main point of this blog... DREAM FACTORY!

On Saturday, 27 September. I had a photoshoot to go for. But before that, it was to head over to Tanjong Pagar to attend the session at Dream Factory.

As you can tell from the picture above, Ines Ligron is the one who conducts this and there's various lessons like walking, talking, hair and so on. She is a french lady who has worked with many renowned people like Miss Singapore, Miss Japan and so on for Miss Universe. Basically, she works both nationally and internationally.

I didn't bring my pair of heels and as such I had to use one that was provided by them. I wore a pair of Christian Louboutins!!! Like OMG!!!!!!!!!!!

It was really high (6.5 inches) and also it's the really narrow heel. What made it worse was my ankle. Just standing in them was already excruciating. But I was not gonna be a little baby and cry about it cuz this is a great opportunity given by Wee Teck and I wasn't about to throw it away.

I sucked it up and walked. Thing was I was kinda preparing myself to fall and make a fool outta myself. Even Ines went all "oohhh, those are really tough to walk in".. well, I gave it my all.

When we were all told to walk in our flats, I was criticized and tried to improve from all the comments I got from the experts.

I put the heels on and actually got praised by Ines! I was just in shock. She said I impressed her and of course I still had to improve! But..wow!!!!!

She stunned me more when she said that, when she saw the pictures, as in the New .ace photoshoot and all, I was in her Top 5! I felt really shocked and shy to be honest.

My runway walked ended with a round of applause from everyone and I was just flattered. To be honest, I think a lot of the girls have much greater walks and I am not going to just be cocky or too hard on myself. In fact, I am going to work with all that I got and strut my stuff this Thursday!

Fingers kept crossed that I actually don't make a fool outta myself and give it my all. Hopefully, both the audience and especially the judges love me. I know I'll have 25 supporters (thanks to the tickets/invites) rooting for me and I really cannot thank them enough!!!! <3<3<3

I don't see myself as some underdog or a dark horse or anything. In fact, I see every girl as competition and see myself as an average girl who is just gonna give it her all and try her best and we shall see what happens! haha
