It is that time of the year again. It's December. What does it mean?
It's my favorite month, my favorite festival (Christmas), winter season in most countries, LOVE the sales and also because, there'll be the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show! It's another year alright and it's fabulous!
Angel, Adriana Lima has broke the record as this is her 16th year walking for this show. There are new angels to join the club such as Taylor Hill & Sara Sampaio and they are just gorgeous. Lily Aldridge is given the honor to wear the million dollar bra! New and highly anticipated HUGE model names like Gigi Hadid & Kendall Jenner are walking for this show. The usuals and EXTRAORDINARILY GORGEOUS angels Candice Swanepoel, Behati Prinsloo & Alessandra Ambrosio are all a part of this year's show.
It was upsetting that the beautiful Barbara Palvin got kicked out for "being on the heavier side" and also Jourdan Dunn got kicked out as the new faces were appearing such as Kendall. It is really a pity as every girl wishes she was a VS Angel & it is every model's dream to be part of this show at least once in their lives. It's a dream come true to be crowned an angel.
The performances was supposed to be by Selena Gomez, The Weekend and Rihanna (AGAIN!!!!)
In the end, Ellie Goulding replaced Rihanna as she will no longer perform at this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show as she has cancelled her performance in order to focus on finishing her upcoming studio album, Anti. That's what some sources say while others are saying it has to do with Kendall Jenner.
Well, it’s no secret that
Kendall Jenner’s fast rise to the top of the modeling world has been the source
of some controversy. Now, though, it looks like the brewing Rihanna Kendall
Jenner feud will thrust that controversy into the spotlight…on the biggest day
of Kendall’s career.
A while back, when Victoria’s Secret confirmed Kendall Jenner as their newest
runway model for tonight’s fashion show, eyebrows went up across the
fashion industry. It’s a major get for Kendall, though her prominence has
earned her a fair number of detractors. Only one month ago, Kendall was the source of some fierce backstabbing from anonymous models
who claimed she’d bought her career and had no more talent than
a coat rack
One of the alleged
consequences of Kendall Jenner’s appearance at this year’s Victoria’s Secret
fashion show was the omission–which at least one high-profile publication
called “shocking“–of British modeling icon Jourdan
Dunn, who had walked for Victoria’s Secret three years running, and seemed a
shoo-in for the 2015 show. When the lingerie giant named Kendall to its
stable instead, Dunn vented her displeasure, referring to the show and
company as “BS” in a series of since-deleted tweets.
At the same time,
Rihanna canceled her scheduled performance at the event. Reps for the icon said
the cancellation was due to unfinished material that needed more work…but
insiders say the real reason is that Rihanna, who’s grown close to Dunn over the years, is as fed up
with her friend over Kendall’s inclusion.
So you could say the stories behind this year's show is "juicy".
“You’re a
heartbreaker, dream-maker, love-taker . . .” So began the 2015 Victoria’s Secret
Fashion Show, with the classic 1979 Pat Benatar song playing and
Behati Prinsloo strutting out in burnt-orange fringe, the Bombshell bra, and a
set of wings sculpted to spell out the word love. (The
theme for this first song, aptly, was Boho Psychedelic—followed by Exotic
Butterflies, Portrait of an Angel, Pink USA, Ice Angel, and Fireworks.)
Indeed, the VS
Fashion Show is over the top, unironically and unapologetically so. Upon
entrance to the 69th Regiment Armory, a New York City landmark more than 100
years old, rosé champagne was practically thrust into the hands of well-heeled
viewers filing into the space. Revelers and editors alike were given little
plastic bags for their cell phones, as photography was not-so-strictly
embargoed.
The production value merged that of a robustly budgeted Broadway
show with the Super Bowl halftime. We were here to see the greatest show on
Earth, and frankly, it did not disappoint.
On the runway,
seasoned pros like Candice Swanepoel and Adriana Lima happily
mingled with the newer flock, including Lais Ribeiro, Taylor Hill, and Gigi Hadid.
Another newcomer, Kendall Jenner,
had both her parents, Caitlyn Jenner and
Kris Jenner, in the front row to cheer her on.
The musical talent set a new
bar, with Ellie Goulding’s
eerily good vocal range, Selena Gomez’s
intricately executed routine, and The Weeknd’s sheer talent impressing the
crowd. (Everyone stood up and danced when he performed “Can’t Feel My Face,”
with a distinct precision and coolness as if the union of Michael Jackson and
James Dean had manifested itself before us.)
For the finale,
hundreds of pink balloons dropped, and then the crowd moved to Tao Downtown,
the Pan-Asian bacchanalian restaurant-cum-nightclub, for the after-party. For
the models, the crispy bao pork buns, chicken satay, and vegetable spring rolls
on offer marked a welcome respite from the Train Like an Angel
lifestyle. (Lily Aldridge perhaps
couldn’t wait that long, making a pit stop at
nearby Ray’s Pizza for a much-deserved pre-party snack.) As the
club filled up, DJ Questlove played the favorites, from Mariah Carey’s
“Fantasy” to “Groove Is in the Heart” by Deee-Lite.
The models, of
course, got to put away their lingerie—or rather, keep it strictly under their
clothes—for the after-party. Joan Smalls rocked
full-look Givenchy: a
fitted black bustier and a skirt with a Renaissance-style print. Leomie
Anderson was positively radiant in a delicate cream-colored beaded sheath by
Maiyet. Jasmine Tookes and Shanina Shaik both chose Zuhair Murad—the preferred
designer of bombshells everywhere. Gigi, Kendall, and Martha Hunt donned
cutouts, proving the wisdom behind the old adage: If ya got it, flaunt it. And
that they all really, really did.
These are the looks from the show.
I honestly can't even pick my favorite as I love all the looks and the themes I swear!
Gaaaahhhhhhh!!
Will forever be a HUGE fan of this show and Victoria's Secret will forever be my all time favourite brand (even if you are a lil overpriced sometimes)

Below is a link more about the various looks.
If you have yet to watch it, I strongly urge you too.
Till next time,
