IT'S A FESTIVE DECEMBER

Well brace yourselves for this is gonna be one heck of a ride!

The amount of pictures is too damn high! But, I love it!

Years later, I can look back and say, look at all that has happened and all that I had been through!

To start of...

Dalan's Birthday

You have no idea how happy I am that I can finally can address Dalan by his name on my blog posts.

I am so thankful and blessed for this.

Happy Birthday, my dear best friend. I have blogged about you along with the other but it seems compared to the rest, I had to always conceal your name as to not spark up family issues. I am so blessed we surpass that!

3 years of knowing you, a year of simple friendship, 2 years of this best friend bond that I intend to keep and treasure for the rest of my life. I promise to always have your back no matter what okay? So be happy and if you're down for anything at all, I'm just a phone call or a text away.

Other than all the gifts, here's to your house celebration of your PARTAY that I seriously was elated I could be a part of!!!!

The clappin crew

Always had and always will have a soft spot for grandmas
and yours is ADORABLE!

Christmas Wonderland

Christmas Wonderland, Singapore’s biggest yuletide fair, was created to enthrall visitors with a combination of magnificent sculptures of light and charming festive markets alongside carnival games.
Back for its second year, Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay 2015 spans 35,000 square metres, across four main areas: the magnificent Luminarie light sculptures which begin at the Golden Garden and extend throughout the festival site; the Festive Market at the Supertree Grove; the Fairground near The Meadow; and the Christmas Toyland floral display in the Flower Dome.
Christmas Wonderland is for everyone – young and old, lovers and friends. The Garden lights up in full glory when night falls, and it is a picturesque sight that is nothing short of stunning. It is little wonder everyone is putting this on their Christmas to-do list.
The moment I found out about this, I just knew that I HAD TO GO!
But before this...
Kombi Rocks
What is Kombi Rocks you ask? Well, I'll let the picture below do the talking.

Wanted to dress for the occasion. Vintage with a modern twist!

The food was great especially the FRIES & LAVA CAKE!

It was raining on the way there, thank heavens it stopped so at least I was able to take a picture with this beautiful Kombi. I swear, this is the kinda van I sometimes picture us, the NiggAPACHE having road trips in. Kinda like the Scooby Doo vibe.

Up next...

Bath & Body Works

To me, although they are pretty pricey, they do have THE MOST AMAZEBALLS SMELLING ITEMS! Be it shower gels, or lotions (what I usually go for).

It is the Christmas season, as such there were a bunch of new fragrances launched. I bought 2. Firstly, Vanilla Bean Noel and next, Sugarplum Dream. They both smell oh so heavenly. I am still using my Velvet Sugar one. Once that is finished, I shall start to smell like sweet sweet vanilla! Haha

Laduree

The BEST place out there around the world to get macaroons is none other than Paris. Paris is known for the very famous Laduree. It tastes like perfection melting in your mouth. When Laduree opens up in Singapore, that would obviously be the place to go buy macaroon when you are craving it, have the money, or introducing someone who is a first timer to that place.

By far, my favorite Christmas tree for 2015. As much as I LOVE snowflakes, lights, and sparkly things, a Christmas tree made out of Macaroons in pastel colors is hard to top!

A tree made out of bells in Orchard

I wanna be a reindeer too!

Now for the grand reveal of Christmas Wonderland at Gardens By The Bay!

Here's a few things to look out for.

1. Luminarie - This is the amazing lights they had built all over the flower domes and there'll be certain timings where there'll be a light show and that's called Garden Rhapsody. There'll be Christmas songs playing in the background and it is magical when you see the light show.
2. Spiegeltent - This would be a great place to take your loved ones to dine. I did not go here due to the price but it looked fancy from outside when I was there and even fancier when I see the interior from pictures online.
3. Ice palace. Once again I did not head here as it was a large sum of money to pay and I rather just ice skate at JCube. Moreover, the interior is meant for kids. However, the outside looked so spectacular, I did take a couple of shots.
4. Santa's Cottage
5. Christmas Toyland
Both 4 & 5 I did not go to as in was located in the domes. This would mean that you had to pay the standard entrance fee which is $28 for adults, if I'm not wrong. Both places, you'll have to pay to enter and is meant for you to spend when you're in there.

For example, Christmas Toyland has so many great toys to buy as gifts, but that is if you'd prefer going there to get your Christmas gift. If you have someone paying for you, then sure, go ahead, I had to pay for all these which is why, I opted to not go, although I did end up spending on 2 things, the carnival game - one in particular and also some food. But, it was still much more worthy.
6. AIA Trick Art - I wanted to get my picture taken here but it kept raining on and off. Since it was an open space, when it rained, they cordoned off the area. When it stopped, the queue grew so immense.
7. Rides - There were a few main ones like the Carousel, Swinging Chairs, Helter Skelter Slide, Christmas Train. I loved the carousel and got my picture taken outside of it as it costs a hefty 8-10 bucks for a ride. I never did taught Uncle Ringo would be this pricey,
8. Carnival Games - Basketball Extreme   |   Block Buster   |   Can Smash 1   |   Lobster Pot 1   |   Roll-a-ball   |   Stick a Card
These were the games and the one I spent most time and money on was Can Smash 1. It was the one where tins would be stacked in a pyramid form and you had to break it in 3 throws. If it is just in one throw and all cans fall and roll off, you get the grand prize. Holy! It costed $4 for one game, which is 3 tries to knock 'em all off!
9. Blizzard Time at the Spalliera & Fun with Bubbles at The Fairground. At certain times there will be bubbles being ejected from a machine and also "snow" which was actually soap being blasted out from machines. As I already knew the programme line up, I was able to experience all of it! It was so enchanting.
10. Christmas Carols. There are Christmas Carolers nestled in the Supertree Grove's gazebo. Managed to catch them and it was so nice and a cozy, homey feel after experiencing Blizzard Time to hear them sing so harmoniously. Truly brought out the Christmas spirit!

When Cotton Candy is PINK and selling for $2... you go get it!

The modern Santa: On his Hover Board

There was a couple who did their wedding shoot here. Although it was for 10 mins or so only. Her dress is pale pink and it's all ruffly and poofy. What's not to love?!

My fav: The entrace

Samarpanam

Finally decided to try my Baby Bliss hair curler and it worked wonders! Been a long time since I dressed up for an event. Felt nice to do so.

Vishnu!

Sara!!!!

Gosh! Honestly, this show was so good! It was super funny & entertaining. Especially Sara! His acting was so on point that it was like watching the Indian actor Vijay on stage! We all are super impressed by your AMAZING performers and you've got the NiggAPACHE as not only your friends but your fans too!

Vishnu & Anush, y'all were such smooth dancers. Gaaaahhhh

I love you 3!!! #1 fan

Took a picture with two of the main people, the "dad" and "mum". The "mum" is still the coolest and the funniest!!! Singapore Poly's ICS, y'all pulled off a superb show! KUDOS!!

The real OG DON, giving the stage "fake" DON his Oscar trophy as his acting was that good!
Well, I must say, you truly deserved it Sara!

It was so nice to see this girl here, Sangary, the last I saw you was for Holi! I know we are both busy with school (by that I mean work) but we def have to hang out and catch up soon aites? Well, we exchanged numbers, now it's time for an outing! It was great seeing you again babe!

As always, there's no outing without a group shot! This time we have Sharveen, Siva, Shanan, Roshan, Prakash and so on. Good seeing your familiar faces and it was nice seeing new people.

Chalet

Our annual chalet. Well, we talked about this recently and we are not planning to make it annual anymore. In fact we have something better in store and I cannot wait for that to happen.

The guys still had their obsession with Star Wars.
In specific, this quote!

So we decided to do a Millennium Falcon Spaceship inspired shape formed by Hershey Pies.

Yup, it was pretty late but we celebrated Dalan's birthday only here! Well Happy Birthday you lil Mofo! Hoped you liked the simple celebration along with the gifts from everyone.

Well, thanks to your birthday, I got to go on a cycling trip with Ari & Suraj. I mean DAYUM you guys! Y'all are really super duper fast on wheels!!!

Don't worry, you have my blessings! Haha

Gifts from Sweden by DON!

My beautiful box / mini suitcase
THANK YOU VINOD!!!!

My turn to present the guys, their gifts - LED Gloves. Well it ain't that much but, I'm glad at least some cool pictures and videos could come outta it and y'all seem to like it. At least I think y'all do. hehe
Well, they're all yours! Don't do naughty things with them...
*Gives CZY the look*

When the DonAPACHE cycled off for a bit, we had time to kill. I brought a box of dares from last year's chalet just in case we needed to kill time. Well, it did came handy. We ended up playing for a bit and it sure as hell was funny especially seeing Fariz & Vishnu... well what happens at the chalet, stays at the chalet

huehuehue

Story Time - All of us children had to listen to our Dad, DON, in recounting the Good Old Days in Sweden.

Happy Birthday to you Vinod. Epic Roulette ;)

I gave Vinod 2 things for his birthday. A book (not gonna explain it in detail, it's between the author and the reader and whoever the reader lets to view) and a game, which is what you see above.

After an unforgettable, memory filled night,

On our way home

Most swaggalicious sleepers

Vinod's Bday

It was supposed to be an outdoors Karaoke, due to time constraints we could not make it happen and we decided to bring Karaoke home. It was sure as hell fun & funny seeing you guys sing. Suraj as Speedy Sean Paul, Fariz as heavy metal Gabriella and the fact that we went High School Musical for just that one song "We're All In This Together". We were all soooo bad that we are perfect for Karaoke.

Maybe one day we can actually book a room outside and let loose! Vinod, I still can't believe you are not familiar with High School Musical! What happened to childhood?!

What better way for a cake then Pizza? I mean, Pizza is bae!

Getting impatient cuz they won't start eating, so I
was trying to steal a bite hehe

Awwwww! The NiggAPACHE now pronounce you, Man & Wife

Thank you CZY for being the BEST tailor I know. I wore my high waisted jeans and it had suspenders. It snapped and it was just jeans! This amazing guy allowed me to have suspenders again! Thank you!!!

And in the meantime, I had to be in his home pants. Comfy still hahaha

The last NiggAPACHE shirt for the group! Yay! All of us has one now. :')
We all MOST DEFINITELY MUST wear it one day, for one RANDOM outing! The group and solo shots would look fantastic!

Sharveen's Bday

Dalan wanted to get Sharveen Nike shoes for his birthday. Not a pair but 2. One came from Kallang Wave Mall, so since I worked under Sport Singapore, I do have my discount. So I could help out. For the other pair, let's just say one day after work, we went hunting around Singapore for the perfect one.

The perks of having your best friend work near you, is that you can go shopping together after that! Although this was birthday shopping! We still had a bit of time after purchasing both pair and since we were already near, I suggested making a quick stop at Orchard for one thing... MEGAROON!

We finally had that and of course managed camwhoring here and there. Although, the decorations were not as fabulous as I thought it would be!

This place has a 22 dollar Ferrero Rocher and it was the size of both my hands cupped or maybe even bigger!

Yup, Perfect season to be in stockings!

While we were eating our Megaroon, there were Christmas Carolers!

Belgian Chocolate mmmmmm

Too bad the macaroon biscuit had no flavor. It was only the color of a vanilla flavored one but tasted like plain biscuit. Now you see why I say, go to Laduree for macaroons? But come on... this is a MEGAROON!

After all, Dalan's not only my best friend but my food buddy! Other than him LOVING sauces & me HATING them (exception: Black pepper, curry, cajun), we are pretty similar with our tastebuds. If I ever go into detail how we both eat our sandwiches or order Nasi Lemak, it'll FREAK you out!

Well, there's still so many food places we gotta go to and explore! One of it is definitely Adam's Road and I can't wait to go with the guys. Let that be our pit stop somewhere in 2016 ouhk?

And now to...

Sharveen's 17th

My personal gift for him, knowing that he loves Old Chang Kee a lot, was a 3-tier-stand filled with Old Chang Kee!

P.S: Sharveen's Birthday was celebrated in the evening / night, right after Vinod's daytime celebration.

Yup! How cool is that?! Having a log cake for your birthday! Well, the day after that is Christmas anyway! Highly appropriate! Might I add, Santa was wearing a PINK outfit & hat here!

We had to make sure Vinod ate, so we all served DON food before he had to rush off! You are The DON after all and NO ONE should come for a party and leave without 3 things. Camwhoring. Eating. And... having a blast!

My suspenders can work again!!!! Love ya CZY!

Still didn't managed to get Dalan's grandma free. She's always busying herself with things to do and she's so shy. The next time I see you, I'll make sure you at least tell me a story. Hearing a recount of an elderly's life is truly a heartwarming thing and I wanna hear all about your life!!!

The food was really delicious! Much loves for like.. EVERYTHING!!!!!!

Gaaaahhhh! Home cooked meals are the best after all!

The upsized clapping crew with new members like Aideel & Suraj! We missed you here Vishnu but you were nicely whacking food at your Christmas Eve Dinner party! Haha, so you didn't miss that much... I think ;P

Atlas! The shoes!!!! And after giving everybody birthday cards for the past 2 years and not giving Sharveen one, you finally get yours! I really hope you like, although you may wanna kill me for giving you all those "awards" for, well you know. HAHA

MANDATORY GROUP SELFIE!

Once again, Happy Birthday Dalan, Vinod & Sharveen!!!

Christmas

25.Dec.2015.

This Christmas was supposed to be an intimate family gathering along with my aunt, I call her Maami.

Poor Maami was admitted at SGH and we knew we had to take the party to her. I dressed up, all prepped for Christmas. Fuzzy white top, Fuzzy bunny hairband and so on. There was even Christmas Carolers at the ward.

Just because she is in the hospital, doesn't mean she had to be sad. After all, no one should ever feel sad on Christmas or spend it alone. I went to visit her with Zizi and we spent hours talking till she slept a little!

I came back home and decided to go to Orchard again! My first time ever in Orchard on the actual Christmas day. It was crowded as hell but I saw beautiful things like a Swarovski tree and Tiffany & Co gift boxes.

26th, it was back to the hospital. Glad to know Maami is doing better and at least she's sleeping more!

Still dressing up in this season's colors. I feel like being festive so don't judge!

Thank you Zizi for the 9 bucks worth of Bengawan Solo breads. Maami actually slept so so much better and I was glad. They changed her ward and all and due to work on 28th, I will be going back only on New Year's Eve.

I hope the next I visit you is when you are home and doing much better instead of the hospital. But if you are still in that horrible place, I pinky promise you I'll make it as lively as possible for you. You are truly an amazing woman and have done so much for so many generations of people like my Grandma, Mama, Zizi, Raihan, Myself and even the next generation like Zara and so on. But you wanna know something?

The names I have listed are just a handful. You have done ALL of us a huge favor by being in our lives and taking care of us and nurturing us, teaching us life lessons. You've had your fair share of downs, troubles, heartaches. But I am sure God only give them because He knows you are strong enough to handle them. You are Maami. My Maami. Our Maami.

I assure you in no time you'll be discharged and back to normal okay? Please rest well, eat up and drink up and stop scolding the nurses haha! Still so feisty! Not only me but all of us, will make sure that you are doing fine, getting better and you're happy! Promise us ah! Don't go back to your bad old habits and do start looking after yourself. Your body is a temple after all. You've got to worship it by treating it real right!

Rebonding Hair

27th is when I was finally going to rebond my hair again. Welp, it didn't happen. The hairstylist refused me, and told me to get a refund. I get it! My hair is curly and all. But nigga! You did not state nor specify in your groupon how curly is curly for you to accept right?

Well, thank heavens as least I'm going to get a refund. I managed to find another WAY BETTER one hopefully. This time I called to check. On the bright side, I'll be not only rebonding but getting my hair treated and cut at Vince Moda. Only downside, it is in 2016. Bright side, the second is better than nothing!

As I am blogging now (Yeap, this is one hell of a lengthy one), I just realized if I do not include today, it's just 5 more days till New Year's! This also means it's 4 more days of using and finishing up my Foodfare vouchers!!! I shall not waste it! Plus it's free lunch with good company. Why not eh?

Just a matter of days till we bid farewell to 2015 and welcome 2016 with a warm embrace.

Till next time

xoxo

A Christmas Lover,

Farhana Mazlan
