Ambitions X Ladurée X Owls

AMBITIONS

Every girl has a dream. In fact everyone has a dream. The thing is, are we willing to work hard to achieve it? Or are we merely going to rely solely on destiny?! I am a person who believe that we make our own destiny. Yes, some things are meant to be like who we are born to, who we fall in love with etc... whereas others we can decide. For example the job in which we want to achieve.

According to me, there are 2 requirements in order to be successful at our job. Talent & hard work. It is important to have talent for that particular niche area. For example, you may be only 1.7m (considerably short to be a professional basketball player) but you have the skills like Jordan, then why not?

You need particular qualities to be able to enter certain job fields. But there are many people who break that stereo-typicality with their uniqueness, individuality and sheer TALENT!

The next, like I mention hard work. So what if you are talented? If you are not humble, and if you are not willing to continuously enhance it and upgrade it and improve it, in no time there would be another person outshining you.

Look at the pop/rnb stars like Michael Jackson, Usher and Chris Brown! They persistently put in hard work and effort to excel in the music industry. Precisely why they are on top.

I had aspired to be many things when I was younger (in terms of occupation). I was unlike my sisters who wanted to be doctors, lawyers and teachers. I wanted to work as something that would keep me going. I wanted to love my job not only for the money but for my love for it.

I would be talking about a few of My Top Job List. And at the very end, I'll talk about what I currently want to do..what I am pursuing to become. What I want to work as in a few years.

Supermodel, especially a Victoria Secret angel (Every girl wants to be them, every guy wants to be with them). Like I mention in one of my earlier posts, I had stopped modelling due to my parents not wanting to be supportive. To be honest, it's ok. Will I completely stop trying? No. Given a choice I would still want to model, maybe not full-time but yes.

An actress. I have always loved drama, the theaters, musicals and movies. I wanted to make it big in the acting industry. That is highly unlikely considering the country I come from, Singapore. the most renowned director would be Jack Neo. But even so, he films Chinese movies..(I love the Ah Boys to Men series and cannot wait for the upcoming film next Chinese New Year, The Lion Men)

An air stewardess.  Actually this is not fully a dream job but I would most probably try for SIA after my diploma in order to save up to take an overseas degree. Hopefully I'll be recruited though.

A  fashion designer. I can't draw for nuts, but I can design. I initially wanted to take up Apparel Design and Merchandising at Temasek Polytechnic (as I have mentioned before) to become a designer. But that thought kind of evaporated as I lacked the practical skills (sewing etc...)

A singer. Well, I have always loved to sing. Even now (just that I'm too shy) but I do not want to pursue this as I am mediocre. There are WAY TOO MANY people out there with total star quality.

A dance choreographer. I love dancing but this is a pretty unrealistic dream as I can dance, even follow choreography..but not trained enough to be a choreographer.

A DJ. Well..I'll leave this dream. I cannot wait to hear Sakthiish's mixes though.
Btw, I simply can't wait to go clubbing with Sakthiish not for the drinks, but for the dancing especially to Trance Music!!!

I've been CRAZY about this DJ.

And who was the DJ you might ask? It was Andrew Rayel. SLAP ME. I actually didn't know anything about him until last night. And now, I can't stop listening to his mixes on Soundcloud.
Check it out--------> https://soundcloud.com/andrewrayel
TRUST ME JUST CLICK ON HIS FIRST MIX ON SOUNDCLOUD.

I love music like this. You know what I mean??
I hate partying to music with loads of lyrics and everyone's just "competing" on who knows the song best etc. Like just stfu and feel it!!! Can't you feel how euphoric, emotional it is??! URGH!

"I'll never cry again when you come home to me..." How can any song be so good?!
One Home - Andrew Rayel & Dash Berlin

A VJ. You know, like the Muttons. But I do not have someone I know in the media industry and neither am I in Mass Com (my 2nd Poly choice which I'm happy I did not pick) to be a well-known VJ.

A Host! It could be for a TV show, a big scale event or anything in fact..I just love hosting. Maybe that's why I'm always hyped during parties!

A journalist. Well..you know me! I love celebrities. When I was like 5 years old, I wanted to be a journalist because I thought taking pictures, going the extra mile, finding the best scoop, interviewing famous people was cool. (Well, it still is. hehe)

An author. I was a kid who grew up loving to read many books. So many genres since I was like 4. From Enid Blyton, to Roaldh Dahl and now like Paulo Coelho and Dan Brown. I love writing (I love blogging as you can tell) but I am not capable enough to write really good stories but I believe that I am a rather good story teller. (I have been told so that's good I presume)

A chef. This dream can be shoved down as if I were to ever work under Gordan Ramsay..the number of F**Ks that he will yell would be infinite! I love to bake and experiment with cooking..but not as a profession.
Baby Boy told me before that if we ever got married, he'll hire a personal chef! SUPER AWESOME!!!

An archaeologist. I am a girly girl and all that but..I am a girl who loves my dinosaurs! So..this was a childhood dream until I was like 9 I think..
Sakthiish, Rawr!

A blogger. Well, I am a blogger now. But not one who blogs and get benefits and such. Well, I do hope so that I'll be recognized pretty soon. Then, blogging would be simply way more amazing, where I can model for blog-shops, get sponsored a lot and even get benefits to like be a brand ambassador and travel!

A Youtuber! Perhaps not one like Nigahiga who is infamous but perhaps like a make up guru (for that I have to learn to apply make-up) like Bethany Mota or a parody video maker like Superwoman  and make V-logs and all (I am planning to start Vlogs and maybe post funny videos on YouTube with my sisters, boyfriends and  friends. This would be like a hobby not a profession.

So..here it is I want to be an Events Planner! Like that is what i want to pursue in a matter of years. I want to plan Big Scale events and such..

Specifically I want to be a Wedding Planner. I want to start of as an intern so as to know how the industry works. I would want to start of maybe in a small wedding planning company then in like 2 years, work really hard and make it to like the top wedding company.
After that, I am hoping to start my own company. But for that I need brains and the financial means. Hopefully all goes well and I emerge successful and would be a wedding planner for celebrities.(Well, this generation ones as by then, they'll be the ones getting married).

I can plan weddings from simple to grand. Well, I want to be versatile. Be a Jack of all Trades, but Master of All. I want to embrace that and master it.

I chose to show you guys this picture as I am a girl who wants to have a marriage like that. A simple, intimate, fun one that involve family and close friends and happens at a beach.. you can tell i'm a girl who loves dreaming. Well, I am not going to let anyone tell me "no" and put me down as they are my dreams and I'll work to fulfill them. :)

Ladurée

I just have to talk about this place. I found out about Ladurée from a Youtuber in which I follow, Bethany Mota. I wish I had gone to see her when she arrived in Singapore. More about Ladurée...

Ladurée is a French luxury bakery and sweets maker house. It is one of the top premier sellers of the double-decker macaroon, fifteen thousand of which are sold every day. They are still one of the best known makers of macaroons in the world.

Ladurée have opened a boutique and counter both at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, one on the second level (#02-09), and the other sandwiched between luxurious French brands Chanel and Louis Vuitton, very near to sister company PAUL Bakery.

The Ladurée mint color scheme has been kept, with chandeliers specially imported for the Singapore store too. The ceiling features a cloudy, sky blue wallpaper adding an almost dreamy look to the boutique.Walls are lined with shelves and shelves of Ladurée merchandise, from teas, jams and more collectibles; it’s a fairly narrow shop, so you may have to inch your way around as you browse, if the store be packed. The centerpiece of course, is the long counter of macaroons.

Pricing wise, it’s $3.80 SGD for a piece, and they let you takeaway in paper bag or boxes.
Aren't these boxes simply lovely?

 The various flavors available..mmmm

I so wanna lay my hands on this limited edition box!

The walls of accessories & merchandises

Ouh look! A delicious Macaroon cake? Can I have it for my 20th? (Hehe, because all I want for my 19th are Red Velvet Cupcakes with pretty ICING!!!)

The really pretty Paris Macaroon Key-chain (they come in 6 different colors)

I was thinking of getting one for Fazilah, the red one for her 21st along with a box of macaroons. This key-chain costs about $78 plus I think she'll love the red one among all and she oh-so-love macaroons. Well, I would have to discuss with Raihan about it.. we shall see. ;)

OWLS

Guilty as charged. I have been OBSESSED with owls over the past week. Don't even ask why! They are just so ADORBZ! Makes me just go AAAAHHHH!!!! I've been wanting to get a really cute owl plushie but that can wait..remember..Miss Shopaholic is undergoing rehab! Haha, I have to literally restrain myself from shopping!

PWEETY!!!

It's so majestic...

...And of course cute!

I have calculated something. Next semester, I have 15 weeks of lessons in which I have to use formal outfits 2 times per week (some H-modules day if the faci is nice & lenient, casual wear is allowed)..which means I have to use formal clothes a maximum of 30 times. I have around +/- 18 formal outfits or so if I mix and match it.

I actually can survive formal class as I repeat formal outfits maximum twice. So..I am only going to shop for formal wear clothes in April. Which is like in 7 months time.
  I.Can.Do.This.

That's all for today's blog. Look forward to tomorrow's one as it has to do with my clothes.

I have not been that faithful..so I have to do Day 9-10 of 30 day Abs challenge today and Day 11's tomorrow although it's supposed to be my rest day! Suits you Farhana for not being disciplined. Ouh well, hope y'all have an awesome #TGIF tomorrow.
