This blog post is dedicated to working out and lipsticks.
Why this 2? The answer is pretty simple.
When you look good, you feel good. There is one thing to love and accept yourself, your face, your skin color, your hair, your size, your assets, your freckles, your stretch marks, your scars, your height, you. And there is another thing to improve yourself.
I have nothing against people who love using a lotta make up or even people who opt for plastic surgery to improve themselves. I am someone who prefers the natural way, be it body or face. But that is just me.
However, there are people who have looked at me and said "Dang! Gurl, you've got a nice height, I wish I could be as tall as you", "You look so exotic", "I love your body, goals!" "Your legs go on for days!", "You're lucky small boobs don't make the outfit you wear slutty!".
There are also people who have said, "Why don't you wear make up? You look tired", "Girls like you are considered too tall it's hard to find guys", "You're so black" (as if being dark skinned is a crime), "HAHAHA what assets? You have small boobs", "You're so skinny that when the wind blows you fly" (people don't know that my size is actually considered a tad bit big in the modelling world.)
I've heard all of these before, and you know what? They are YOUR opinions. NOT MINE! I can be however I wanna be. Honestly, I find it very hard to love myself, be it my body, hair, face, skin, anything.
I have got a tonne of stretch marks especially by the sides of my hips that has been there for like 8 over years when I had that massive weight gain and it became a problem when I lost weight. As for my face, I know I have small lips, I have been told. My nose may be deemed too sharp and also since I have deep set eyes (naturally), when I don't get enough sleep or cry a lot, when they get puffy, it looks HORRIBLE! I do not have the smoothest complexion especially during that time of the month and my hair, is just a mess that I can't seem to do much about as my natural hair is gravity defying curls!
As for my body, I know I may be deemed skinny by some people when they look at my collarbones or shoulder blades, at the same time, I may be deemed fat when people look at my thighs. For me, ever since losing weight, I have been a massive blob of skin. Yea, I am flabby all over and have been pretty inconsistent in trying to tone up.
Ever since joining Sport Singapore and having access to the AMAZING gym, I have been working out more regularly and putting in more time and effort to not only train and do cardio and core, but I also incorporate lots of strength training and also toning. There may not be a lot of difference but I am sure there at least is a tad bit. From barely being able to do bicep curls with 2kg on each up, I have progressed to 8kg. For the squat rack, from struggling to balance the 20kg rod, I am now able to squat with 40kg. These are minor improvements but they are something.
I used to be unable to even do 1 guy push up, now I can do about 4-5 of them but not a full one but a 3/4 one and that is a HUMONGOUS change. I cannot really change my boob size and I am not planning to get implants. But I sure as hell can try to work on my butt and glutes and get a rounder, toner, firmer, bigger, bouncier butt. hahahaha!
That is clearly what I am working on. I want to be able to look at myself in the mirror and actually feel proud of who stares back at me, look how far I had come and be genuinely happy with my exterior. Obviously it is pointless to work out so much and have a horrible heart and personality. It is highly important to nurture and grow yourself as a person.
One thing for sure that I know that I have to work on is PATIENCE. That is a hard thing to master. I have tried and it took some time for me to loosen up a bit from being a super uptight person, still have work to do on that. I have told myself that it was also time I started counting my blessings and looking at the bright side of things. I have to NEVER EVER GIVE UP AND LOSE HOPE!
I have came up with a decent food and workout plan but I must clearly stick to it. Right now, I am not doing that a good job. I really have to discipline myself if I want to achieve my goals.
Below are a bunch of my fav Fitness Models / Youtubers and I promise you, they have bodies TO DIE FOR!!!

Now for the second segment. Make Up. As I have said, I am not really a make up fan. Let me confess why. They cost a lot. In Singapore, a lot of brands do not have things like foundation, concealer and such in the color that would suit girls who have my skin tone or who are darker. The biggest reason, I don't really know how to put make up.
I have watched tutorials but I don't know why I'm just not that good at it. I can't draw my brows, I can't even use a liquid eyeliner to draw a winged tip, I am horrible and blending in 2 or more shades for eyeshadow, I can't contour or highlight for shit, my lips are small so I am HORRIBLE and putting lipstick / lipgloss.
There you go! A 20 year old girl who can't even use make up properly! There is a reason why I just end up putting some baby powder, and using my eyeliner, (the crayon twist kind) drawing only for the bottom and try to wing it out a little in an attempt to create cat-eye and then leave. I know, I'm pathetic. Don't even get me started to eyelashes. Other than mastering the art of taking them out from my eyeball, I do a lumpy mascara look and also can never glue on falsies like a human being.
I am getting older and honestly I do like make up, I'm just not the best at it. I would have to go for interviews, job applications, functions, parties, outings that I am sure that a lil bit of make up will help enhance my look and do me some justice. Other than the eyes since I at least can put the basic of basic eyeliner and mascara, the next key area on your face to give it the extra "pop" or "BAM" or "Va Va Voom" are the lips.
So what should I learn, yeap, the art of lipsticks. Here's the thing with lipsticks, the stick (the portion that comes into contact with your lips) is usually so big, I end up drawing outside my lips and look like a clown. But God bless inventions and creative minds, there are now lipstick markers and the new in-thing called Liquid Lipsticks.
I did my fair share of research and googled and found obviously the Queen of perfect lips, Kylie Jenner, although she had lip injections and fillers (whatever, she still looks DA BOMB!), has her own make up line and in particular liquid lipsticks.
I've checked the reviews and all of those and I must say, I was so fascinated that I knew if I wanted to make this make up change, I had to get it. Here's the thing about it. She's Kylie Jenner. Since the release of her lip kits, each consisted of a lip liner and a liquid lipstick, it got sold out in under 30 seconds from the first time all the way to all the time she has restocked. LIKE WTH?!?!
There are people who are bidding $100s and $1,000s of dollars for the with the highest one on Ebay for one lip kit, just one, going for $10,000 and it's in USD! I am not crazy to spend that much. By the way, for those of you who want to know the price of one originally bought from the website itself, it would be $29 USD and if it's being shipped to Singapore and all, in SGD, it would come up to between $50 to $60 for one lip kit.
Her first set, consisted of 3 colors, then she released 3 more for Valentine's Day. There is going to be a restock soon in March (where a 7th, the latest shade will be released too) but I am not that psychotic to hog on her site and feel demoralized when I am unable to purchase a lip kit in under 10 seconds as there are hundreds of thousand people hogging up the site at the exact same time to snag a lip kit.
I did my fair share of research and although they may not be the exact same thing, they are the closest you could get to substitutes or dupes to these. Below are the subs or recommended subs and I managed to google the pictures and swatches and decided on the best one for me to get and snagged all 7 on Carousell. Hehehe

Nothing beats King Kylie's luscious lips though. Yup! below are the shades on her very own lips and they are the ones being packaged as the pictures on the boxes the lipsticks are in.
In her new restock in March, she has been teasing so much about a new shade and she finally revealed it to be this beautiful orange shade.
The name of this one unlike the others with _____ K. (Example Koko K, Koko is the nickname for her step sister Khloe and the K for all of it clearly represents the Kardashians). She did say she wanted to step away from the Ks but no one guessed it right as a lot of people thought it was gonna be King K or Tyga K. Now we all know, 22.
I seriously cannot wait for the dupes and subs to be out and I will be the first to lay my fingers on those instead. I really love you Kylie but not to a point I'm obsessed and will lose my sanity for a lipstick.
How I have decided to stock up on my lipstick collection will be to be on par with the releases of King Kylie and getting the dupes for it. Right now I have 4 liquid lipsticks, waiting for 3 more to arrive, then I'll be having 7. I have one lipstick marker, the one I purchased from Sephora during the girls days out with Mama and my sisters. I have 2 lipsticks (a shiny pale pink glossy one and a red one from Mac that I got participating and making it into the finals of TNPNF14). I also have 2 lip glosses, one pink natural skin one and another red one from Rubi given for my 19th birthday by Sharlini & Aby.
I can't wait to lay my hands on the orange one. I shall release this blog post when I have all the 7 shades as I am sure if there's going to be more shades, it will not be coming so soon as in March or anything although Kylie did say to be on the lookout for darker shades.
And the dupes for the Orange Shade, 22 is out!!!
The one I purchased was: Ofra - KathleenLights Miami fever
Although this was not part of the generally googled item, I found this shade to be SUPER SIMILAR to that of 22 and I LOVE IT to bits! The best part? I already received it.

Now, all I am waiting for is my own version of Candy K, Posie K and Koko K.
I shall work on being able to do better make up. C'mon! It is about time I learn to. I ain't even saying go all Huda beauty level but at a much more better level than I am now.
I know in time to come I would need to get lip liners. They will sure as hell help me with the shape of my lips, coloring the insides, having a better pout and also for those similar colors like if I have 3 pink liquid lipsticks, I can get perhaps just 1 lip liner that would be able to suit really well with all the 3 different shades of pink. But that, is all in time to come.
Well, that's all I have for now. Honestly, I finished typing this on the 29th of February! Happy LEAP YEAR!!! But, this post will be up when I have pictures of all the other shades on my lips.
Another new shade,
Kourt K
The one I purchased was: Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania

I love this really dark hue on me. But Kylie didn't just stop there, she came up with Lip Glosses too. These are the first 3.
Like , Literally, So Cute
Then came New Metallic Lipsticks
Reign, King K, Heir
These are in preparation for the upcoming Coachella & I really do love them but, I am not planning to get them though unless there are more matte liquid lipsticks.
Ahhhhh!!!! I really can't wait to post this up. Need a chance to take a pic of all of them. Real soon!!
Up next, this AMAZING Make Up Guru!!!
Huda Beauty
She has her own line of falsies, nails, lip contours and so much more. Outta everything though, if I ever purchase anything from her, they'll definitely be the falsies first haha!
Now that I am done with the content and even have the pictures of the other lip colors up, I can successfully upload this post. Any more further shades that she'll introduce, I'll just post them in regular blogs and have a caption underneath.
3 months later and I am finally gonna post this up. I have realized that most definitely, although initially I had no interest, I may actually go ahead and get the metallic lipsticks. The lip glosses I am not too sure and yea, at the end of May and a new shade is up. It's a really Nude tone (the most nude in fact) and it's called Exposed. But enough about that. If not, I will go on and on and not end up posting this blog post which was long overdue.
I'll talk about any new shades when I actually purchase them (which I fear I may get the dupes and one day even lay my hands on the original Kylie Jenner Lip Kits itself, hehe).
Till next time my fellow Princesses,
xoxo
