I am once again, blogging at work.
This time round, it's regarding The 2015 The New Paper New Face. Yup, it's the 23rd year.
This year, I was even sent invites and I really want to go more than anything. In fact, the finals are just round the corner. It's happening on the October 1st but I can't go because firstly, it's a weekday and that means work. I'm on my internship. I can't just take my off as and when I want. I am not entitled to that.
And secondly, back to the first reason! I am so bumped out I'll be missing this HUGE opportunity to watch the finals for this year.
Being a finalist for last year, makes me feel so happy and proud of myself. This year, there were soo many hopefuls and I must say, the Top 20...all of them, are really deserving. You girls look SOO GOOD!!!! Your bodies are amazing! I am wondering if some of y'all are already super pro models.
Not only your body is conditioned, but you girls have beautiful skin and hair. Some of your features are just so unique.
Ahhhhhh! You guys are so pretty! Hahaha
I wish I can say that everyone will win a prize. I am sure the winners are well picked by the judges and is deserving. I am rooting for some of y'all and you should be proud of yourselves for making this far.
If you win, great. If you don't. I promise you the journey doesn't end there. The experience, times y'all spent with each other, people and networking you would have made is truly amazing and be grateful for that.
So I am doing this blog to let people know who these amazing Top 20 are and a lil bit of my opinion. Everyone is entitled to ours okay?! I am not saying anything to offend anyone and it's just my honest view.
You girls are really a great batch though!

Selynna Norhisham
She may not have the most perfect set of teeth, but other than that, I see no flaws. And if her teeth was going to be an issue, she sure knows how to work really well with her flaws and looks STUNNING in all her shoots! Her short hair also gives her an edgy look but her face makes her pull off both sweet and sultry. I am sure she'll be one of the winners that will bag something!

How cool it is for someone to change their name and incorporate a color in is kinda rad especially if the color is PINK!!!! She reminds me of Grace, the girl from my batch and after her hair was being dyed and all, it reminded me even more of Grace!

I have a friend who I met from a casting for the Digital Fashion Week 2014. She is from Basic Models Management and her name is Yihan. She is super tall and her runway walk is really fierce. Jessica reminds me of Yihan in terms of facial features.

Last but most definitely not the least, Amy. Last year's second runner up, Syiqah is Amy's older sister. Syiqah is the queen of sass and she's so pretty. Amy, is pretty and poised.

Well, all these above was typed towards the end of September and below would be the pictures I received from the finals although I had not gotten the chance to attend. Sorry for posting it up so late. Some people I was rooting for made it! Congratz! Some did their best but didn't but don't be down at all ouhk?! You are all stars!!!

Selynna Norhisham was the 23rd woman to be named winner of The New Paper New Face.
A panel of six judges picked the 22-year-old administrative manager to win $10,000 cash and a feature in Her World Singapore.
Selynna also won two subsidiary titles: Miss Subaru Dynamic (I LOVE SUBARU) andNew Look Miss Fashionista.
Runner up R Nametha, 17, won $5,000 and the subsidiary title of Her World Runway Star.
Second runner up is Lee Qian Hui, 23. She wins $3,000.
Other subsidiary title winners are Joeypink Lai (Miss Levi's and The New Paper Miss Popularity)
&
Angie Watkins (Miss Cagliari Cosmopolitan).
Be proud of yourselves, y'all have come so far! Look at the amazing transformation!
