Gym Sesh with The Hot One

Reiz and I met and we decided to gym. After that, it was time for KFC Curry Rice Buckets and Cheese Fries (HAHAHA) and then towards Suntec City where she was ultra cute with her doughnut and caramel frappe.

A whole lotta Snaps were taken that day and only 1 picture of us. I compiled them all into a video and added Ariana Grande's Side To Side as the background music. The video is below.

It was really great to have a one to one outing and so many secondary school moments were relived. Till the next time we meet, you lil hottie!

East Coast Park Adventure

04/06/16 - This date was anticipated for and waited for more than a month. It is not some lavish event just a simple event. They say the highlight of a journey is not the destination but the journey itself. I couldn't agree more.

The ultimate destination was the event held at East Coast Park. Sure the pictures that was taken with cammy turned out amazing but even the serene beach was nothing compared to getting there!




4 key takeaways of this trip:

#1 The BEST meal fro, Long John Silvers is the Spicy Caribbean Chicken

#2 Although they say that Stila liquid lipstick lasts all day and it's really long lasting, it does last long (I have to give them credit for that) but it does not last long enough (TBH). The evidence can be seen on my Snapchat Video below.

#3 Baskin Robins has really good ice cream. DUH! But who knew 2 scoops of the right flavor with the right toppings can make it taste heavenly?! First, their new Cotton Candy flavor. It isn't like those rip-off flavors that names it after one thing and it tastes completely different, and sometimes even bad! This actually tastes super sweet and just like Cotton Candy and it has that extra pop (literally) as it consists bits of popping candy which makes it amazing! Second, Cookies & Cream. You can NEVER go wrong with this flavor. Why I loved it the moment I laid my eyes on it was that the cookies were still decently chunky and not completely mashed. I LOVE COOKIE DOUGH but in Singapore the more common flavor is Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and I PINKY PROMISE you that it's different. I have tried Cookie Dough from Gelare and it tasted quite bad. The only placed that had Cookie Dough was Ben & Jerry's. But ever since they changed it to Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, they ruined it! Now, for the toppings. Hot fudge and then more cookies. The cookies are really chunky Oreo chunks and I promise you people these all put together in a cup is just SEX IN YOUR MOUTH! It's that good!!!

#4 I had no idea Singapore had colored humongous houses. It is hidden along somewhere in East Coast Service Road. They are all gorgeous, I came across an all white house, white and peach, white and baby blue and my favorite of them all, white and pale pink. Daaaaannngg it really is gorgeous!!

Zalora: Zalia

This year for Hari Raya, my mum was talking about the color scheme and I am so glad we all decided to go with white. Both my sisters bought materials and are sewing their dresses. Well, Zizi had a change of mind and is gonna use her initial Raya outfit for a wedding and she got another really chich white outfit. 

I was thinking and I wanted to go for a bridal theme to a point I asked Mama if I could wear a bridal gown for Hari Raya hahaha. Well, I have settled on what I am wearing and it is a gorgeous dress from Zalora. It is the Zalia, Hari Raya collection and this dress is white with blue embroidery and it feels so fantastic and is so simple that it's elegant. It makes me feel like a princess in it with its A Line cut. 

I took a SnapChat video on Raihan's phone and was singing to Soulja Boy's "Hey You There" like a lil creep while wearing the dress. Of course I wasn't intending to show my full dress till it's Raya. It has a huge stamp of approval from my fam & best friend and that is all that matters. Hehehe 

I really do adore this flower filter. I realize that I have a pretty odd face shape, ouh well! We gotta embrace what we have. My face and bone structure takes after Papa so I am proud to have it. It's like from my dad I have these few things that I took after;

Papa: Facial Features, Face Shape (Heart), Bone Structure, Skin Color etc...

From Mama, I have her eyes, long eyelashes, big boned, her blood group etc... 

What I have which is the result of both combined which makes me, me and turn out not looking like them hahaha;

- My overly curly small curled Afro (both my parents had big curls)

- My thick eyebrows

- My nose

- My small lips

And I am not sure what else. Personality I feel like I have a bit of both in me, but at least 80% is just me huehuehue

SingTel

Started my job on the 7th of June. Well, I'm working in the SingTel building, however, I am working for Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA). My job is actually to be a call centre operator and the whole of this job is till December. The thing is, before I even get a job, there's 6 weeks of training to undergo.

I am so happy that the people at my workplace are really nice and we bond so well as a class and I even love my trainers! To be honest, we are the happiest bunch in the office, maybe it's because we are still undergoing our training haha. 

There's 11 of us right now. Other than me, there's Syakilah, Jeffrey, Nasrul, Syed, Daniel, Ayu, Dhiya, Reetha, Su & Farain. We have 2 trainers, Christine & Daniel.

Classes can be pretty intense at times but it's all worth it.

I'm the youngest there, yeap the baby of the class. Plus, I'm tall (what's new? hehe), so I'm always asked to help with regards to writing, answering or helping with the screen.

When it was raining so bad on the way back home one day, thank heavens I had Su for help!

Raihan & Me with our duet band song after removing my wisdom tooth (2 of them on the left) and now I'm left with none. YAY!!!

First, II extracted my wisdom tooth, then I also rebonded my hair in preparation for Hari Raya. Decided to make my debut to work in a formal dress and come in a red lippy!

Tagging calls with headset. This is where I get to listen to the calls but not answer it and learn from my seniors. I was paired with 2 people, Humairah & Smitha and they were bot such lovely people.

I am gonna enjoy the rest of my training and treasure classroom time as much as I can before it's too late - meaning when I get on board.

Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham

This is one of my ALL TIME favorite Hindi / Bollywood movies and I still canot help but to laugh at every single one of the fan made parodies so I had to share this next few pictures with you guys. 

I really ended up laghing so hard, my stomach hurt and my eyes were filled with tears. Hope this brings a huge smile to your faces. For those of you who have yet to watch this classic movie, please do and you'd still find the posts funny anyways.

Czy's POP

Another guy from The NiggAPACHE finally POPs and we didn't ended going for the ceremony as there were only a few tickets and CZY's fam were going so they of course should and were given the priority. That didn't stop us from having a mini celebration afterwards. 

The only funny thing was that we met up and even went to CZY's house. Long story short, that A-Hole was sleeping so soundly that the rest of us proceeded with our food and decided to wait till he texts or calls us after he wakes up.

We visited our long lost place, The Chicken Rice Shop. That is not the name of it but that is how we call it. Only Dalan had Chicken Rice, the rest of us were suddenly tempted by the Western food and decided to pig out on those!

Czy finally responded, and we bought him Chicken Rice and then went over to his place. Entering Czy's house, the "KNNB song" infused with the traditional "P-O-P-O" song was sung.

We were so glad that Vinod and Sara could join us. OMG!!! Vinod is gonna be the next one enlisting!

Ramadhan Open House @ My Crib

My relatives & cousins came over for Iftar and we had a blast. Tonnes of fun with food and their company. The usual peeps, such as Habib, Sahanah, Raihan, Hafeez, Irfaan and me hung out and shared some stuff over food and drinks.

This was the day I was trying so hard to figure out whether this SnapChat filter was a Red Panda or was it a Racoon? Hmmmm

Father's Day 2016

This is the first year Father's Day is taking place for my sisters and me without a dad. My Dad passed away on 22/05/16. But more about how and why is gonna be in another blog post entirely dedicated to him. 

Mama & Maami decided to bring my sisters and I to my Uncle's house to celebrate Father's Day with him and our cousins. It wasn't a bad decision because we were for a moment distracted and forgot about the pain and the emptiness.

We were having such an intense convo about my cousin's Nazirah's wedding.

A lotta wedding talks & plans and I was gushing with excitement when I saw her gown etc... 

In July, other than Raya, there'll be 2 weddings taking place. Both are my cousins. The first would be Nazirah and the second would be Azhim. I am equally excited for both!!!

Haish, Papa I am deeply broken and sad that you won't be with us for this year's Hari Raya. I miss you so much and wanted to wish you a very Happy Father's Day!

I was walking through the Woodlands Pasar Malam (We all know Woodlands has it's almost monthly Pasar Malam but nothing beats the one during Ramadhan!) I simply had to give the Fried Oreos a shot and I must say, it didn't fail to impress me. It really was good!

Maami's stay-over

My sweet Maami stayed over for a week and on one of the days, she cooked my favorite dish from her: Mee Kuah

I promise you, this is the best kinda Mee Kuah you can ever get! Maami really can cook a tremendous amount of spectacular food but this is DA BOMB!

Cutie-Pattootie

Finding Dory is a MUST WATCH MOVIE! I know everybody's talking about it. I also know that most of the theater audience are people my age. I don't blame them. Finding Nemo was the first ever movie that I watched in theaters and that came out 13 years ago. It sucks that I've yet to watch this amazing movie. I will watch you real soon and Baby Dory, you're truly the MOST ADORABLE fish that has came onto the set of Pixar - the animated set at least.

There are a couple of movies that I am dying to watch other than Finding Dory. That would be: Moana, Now You See Me 2 and Highly Anticipated... SUICIDE SQUAD!!!

TGIF - Remix

After ages, The NiggAPACHE changed our meeting point to the Galaxy CC instead of the because of the rain. We conquered that place like old times and made the whole floor ours. It was a really nice feeling.

I bumped into Rinna - yeap, my model friend from TNPNF and we even did the Digital Fashion Week Runway together. Look at how pretty she is! I love her for being so carefree, laid back, chilled, fun, spontaneous and provocative. Yeap she lives her life by her own rules and I really do admire that about her. She chopped her locks and now has short hair. Nevertheless, she's still as gorgeous as ever!

The Lab & Sinseh; The Grocery

My tagging calls senior buddy, Humairah was talking about Galaxy Donuts to me and I was so tempted to give it a shot that I simply had to! Moreover, they were limited and they are made for a short period of time only so run along, go and grab yours now!!!

I had my donut with some ice cream, (can't remember the name, SORRY!), Nutty Malty or something (I think), or somewhere along those lines.

It looks so pretty! But honestly, I LOVED the taste of the ice cream even more!

Wanna know why the picture below looks so familiar? It's because, it's one of the graffiti paintings on the walls of Bugis / Arab Street / Haji Lane.

Geylang Bazaar

NiggAPACHE takes over Geylang for the first time ever!

This year ever since the much viewed Facebook post on the food we can find in Geylang this year, The NiggAPACHE had to inspect it ourselves. We bought and tried quite a number of items and the ones that were ridiculously expensive, we went there early enough to snap a picture of it!

We thought it could've been the whole group but it turned out to not be the case. I really did miss the people who did not manage to show up but hey, it's not like this is our only group outing. Looking forward to the full squad again!

Our first buy: Smores Dip! It only costs $2.50 and it tastes heavenly. We purchased 2 in White Chocolate flavor and 1 in Cookies & Cream flavor and it was AMAZEBALLS!

The overly raved about Watermelon Volcano!

We even tried these really swagged out Sodas. The grape flavored was delicious!

The pretty rainbow bagel. It costs an exuberant $8 just for one so we settled for a picture instead.

Think they're Takoyaki Balls? Well, you thought wrong. They're flavored balls like the filling inside could be Nutella, Kaya and so on. 

Oh Dear God! Kudos to you if you actually tried this. Sure, we do love the Spicy Korean Noodles and the challenge but this...NAH! We'll give it a pass.

Deng Deng is a friggin must to try. How Bak Kua is to a Chinese, Deng Deng is to a Malay. Deng Deng is beef and this time they bring you, Taco Deng Deng. Aideel & I bought it. It costs $5 but it comes in a set of 2. The looks of it, it's pretty rad but the taste, I'd give it a 2/5. It's really mediocre. I've had better Deng Dengs. But at least we gave this a shot!

Who knew that Thai Iced Tea is practically Iced Teh Tarik. But I must say, the tea powder taste was really strong and it made me a lot hyper. This is what caffeine does to me. Hahaha

Cotton Candy Soda

I am soooo excited and really cannot wait to get my henna done! I'm getting it done 2 days before Raya, thanks to Zizi's friend and the second time I'll be doing it would be for a wedding in July and the last one this year would probably for Deepavali. Yeap 3 times this year. It shall make up for the past 2 years of not even getting a chance to put Henna. Not even once. 

 

 

 

We bought and shared small bites at Geylang Bazaar but we had our main feast at Tekka Market. 

Well that's it for this segment. Now, go get your butts to the bazaar! The last day would be on the Eve of Hari Raya and that would mean the 5th of July.

Jamiyah Children's Home

One of Papa's wishes before he passed away was for us to go to an orphanage on the day of his 40th day prayers and give the kids there food and get them to pray for him. 

I fell horribly sick days before that, to a point I had to visit a doctor. I'm done with my medications but I've still yet to recover. Hopefully I would soon.

Although I wasn't feeling well, I had to fulfill my Dad's last wishes and we all went to the children's home for Iftar together with the kids and also for prayers. Below is the video of the cutest niece ever....

ZARA!!!

There were a total of 60 kids there, ranging from 4 - 5 all the way up till 16 - 17. Let me just tell you, when you go to a children's home, do a few things. 

~ Empathize, but do not sympathize. 

~ Put yourself in their shoes, then get yourself outta their shoes and step back into yours.

~ You'll realize how many more things you have to be appreciative for and be thankful for.

~ Always count your blessings. 

~ Treasure your loved ones and live like you'll die tomorrow.

I was really blessed to have met this little girl, I'm sorry, Princess Rapunzel and to have learned so much from you even though you're only 5. Trust me, kids can teach us a whole lot about what life really is all about and to sometimes, just stop, take a breather and be happy with how far you've come. 

You definitely thought your Cinderella a thing or two my sweet Rapunzel. And I can't thank you enough for this. 

Papa, may your soul rest in peace and I am sure you'll get a spot in heaven and do enjoy it up there because you truly deserve nothing but the best.
