Anticipating Diva
Anticipating Diva is actually a talent agency in Singapore. It is founded by former talent and model, Cordelia Daphne. She was the winner for Miss Singapore Universe 2013. It initially started as Cordelia's blog about the events she did as a talent and now she manages talents herself for various local and international clients in Singapore.

A while back, my friend Rinna, from TNPNF 2014 & DFW 2014 asked if I would be free to do a runway with this brand called Pleatation. It was to be on a Saturday so I gladly agreed and being a freelance model, I do not really get runways so I would take this one.
In this process, I got the chance to whatsapp Corde and in a way joined Anticipating Diva. It is really free & easy and I love that about it.
I also had 2 events. One would be a runway model for Pleatation and the other would be a model/usher for a gala. I will be sharing about these 2 events.
The 2015 Singapore Yacht Show
This is a really high end and classy show and event. My job was to be an usher for their Black Tie Gala Dinner. The best part? It was held in my dream hotel in Singapore. You guessed it right. W hotel!
I had to go for the fitting session at Orchard Delfi on Thursday and the following day it was the Black Tie Gala Dinner.

So, I was super stoked when I went for the fittings and the best part, I met Valerie. Valerie was a former model and she was there during my TNPNF times for the Dream Factory workshop with Ines Ligron. She was Corde's client and I was glad I was selected to be a part of this show. To be both beauty & brains.
During the fitting, there were dresses by Covetella too. It was designed by Carol. You have no idea, the dresses and outfits were all so gorgeous, I was actually so in love with all dresses especially the bridal ones and the pink ombre blush ones. Sadly, those dresses were for the runway models only. Well, I met two of the other models/ushers. One was Ophelia and the other Nowreen. They were so nice and it was super fun working with them.
The best part? None of us got to wear the dresses we tried at the fitting. So why is this the best part? Because we ended up wearing dresses from Covetella which was one of the new collection and was meant to be featured on the runway. Ours was the navy blue collection and I fell in love with my dress the very minute I saw it.

It was so fun and the best part was that the 4 of us (ushers/models) got to walk for the finale of the runway and it was so amazing!!! This event.. to sum it up was AMAZEBALLS! And.. it had many downs, from getting there and even not having the money to leave the place. But all in all, things worked out and I am just happy and really thankful to Asswipe for being there for me. (Although not physically but his texts when I was in a panicky state and just balling my eyes out crying was comforting and got me through it.)
You know what they say. "A friend in need is a friend indeed." What are best friends for anyway. So, thank you!!
And remember what I said about the bridal collection? Look at them!!! How pretty they all look? They look so pretty and poofy and princessy! I really aim to do a bridal photoshoot or runway or one day and hopefully that day comes soon. REAL SOON!

Pleatation
So, earlier on in this post I mentioned about getting to walk for Pleatation, once again thanks to Rinna for this opportunity and thanks to Cordelia for accepting me.

It is basically, like the name suggests, all about pleats. They incorporate it in their clothing and even accessories. On 25 April, a day after the W Hotel Gala, there was a runway in which the previously selected designers (Now Top 10) will have to battle out in terms of their design. They will get to feature their clothes and design with Pleatation if they win.
My designer was Sunita and she was from Indonesia.
This is my transformation from bare faced to make up overload!!!
Yup.. even my hair!
This was us girls backstage during the rehearsals and yup, the one taking the photo is Grace from TNPNF 2014.
The first picture we took after our dress change. My favorite dresses are the first and last.
The silver one at the front is all sparkly and shimmery and really reminded me of the fairy Tinkerbell. The last one is like a black bridal gown with just the right amount of punk and edgyness.

Finale shoot
My designer won 3rd place and I was so happy for her.
For this show, we did not get paid and instead each received a $100 voucher. For that day, for 5 hours, 12 - 5pm, there was a mega sale where items were at a discounted price. It could vary from 10% all the way to 70%.
The original prices were pretty steep and as much as I like the clothes.. I fancied the accessories a whole lot more and decided to get quite a bit of them. In total, I spent like $96++ out of my $100 voucher and was so happy with my purchases.
This is the voucher. Even the voucher looks so pretty.
And... here are my buys!
They are mostly clutches. I also got 2 scrunchies that can also be make-shift corsage and really adorable hair clips that form the shape of a mini circular pleated fan. I am just obsessed with my clutches and I kept 3.
The bright neon one with splashes of paint which gives of a very edgy and modern vibe.
The small classic black and white to go more basic and it was a must.
Lastly, I am a Hana. That means.. PINK!
I took the leafy designed one for myself (and have been using it).
Well that is all for this blog post. I really do hope I'll be selected for more events to do with Anticipating Diva.
Till next time
xoxo
