Valentine's Day 2015 X Photoshoot X Dinner at Swensens

They say that Valentine's Day has to be all romantic (if you're in a relationship - married, gf/bf, engaged etc...), or go all anti romantic (if you're single)..

Well, to me I personally LOVE Valentine's Day because of the promotions and colors. I see so many pink and red (Especially PINK!!!), I see chocolates and all under discounts and I really love it. It is sometimes sweet to see all the guys being extra sweet to their ladies by getting them bears, helium balloons, chocolates, a bouquet and all.

What I find is, over the years, things just start to become a competition. Your man gets you something (that is with all his heartfelt thoughts and affordability) and you thank him and you get appreciative. Then you walk by another couple and the girl is being spotted with a bigger bear, a bigger bouquet, and worse... Pandora!! Then what?! You start feeling like you wish you were that girl, a part of you wishes your man could afford more and so on.

Everything starts becoming a competition. Guys, instead of getting what their girl would like, get her something that would top his friend getting his girl. Why all this competition and unhappiness? Why all these materialistic needs?

Then there's the anti-valentine's day people. WE. GET. IT. You are single. So what? There is NOTHING wrong in being single. In fact, I would say enjoy your singlehood while you can because most, not all, people end up losing their freedom and the whole "me time" once they get in a relationship. Why do you go around dissing people who celebrate Valentine's Day? I get it, you find it nonsensical for couple's to only be all mushy and lovey-dovey on that one day a year and the rest is just not being celebrated with love and sweetness.

It is alright to think that V-Day isn't special because every day should be spent loving your other half and giving them a little something and all that. However, take it like birthdays or Mother's / Father's day or even National day. It doesn't mean that you love that person or country only for that one day. But you love it / them 24/7, 365 days a year and you show them every once in a while how much they mean to you but for that day, you just do something a little extra and shower them with that extra love and attention.

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT SO DON'T GO ABOUT HATING VALENTINE'S DAY!

Next, the misconception. Why is it that girls always get showered with everything? To be honest, guys aren't the only ones who always have to be paying for everything or giving their girls surprises. Girls, you all spend for your man's birthday. That's nice. But all those times they spend? Your birthday, Valentine's, Christmas, Anniversaries and those couple's who celebrate monthsaries.. cut your men some slack. Be appreciative instead of demanding. So what if the girl beside you has a huge Pandora box?! You have your man don't you? Shouldn't your relationship with him matter way more than any gift?

And it wouldn't kill girls to do something sweet for their guys once in a while. A simple meal, some movie together, a massage for him, and once in a while spoil him a little extra. It is not always fair to have the men spending. FORGET THEIR HUGE PRIDE AND EGO! Haha

Ok, sorry for that long part on V-Day. Just felt like saying it.

Up till now, I never really had a V-Day celeb. Last year, it was with The NiggAPACHE and it was fun for me. No regrets there. Maybe I just don't get how this whole V-Day functions. This year it was really diff for me. I really kinda wanted to celebrate it. I didn't care that I was single. I wanted to do something a lil romantic. Hey! It is fine to pamper yourself once in a while.

And this happened!!! Valentine's Day Dinner with Aby, Nini & Me!

My blankey with hearts made the perfect tabletop. Food and all was home cooked and the drink.. chill! It's just a wine glass but it contains Fanta Cherry! We even lit up a Vanilla Scented Candle and it was just wow!

Nini was dressed in all PINK and I was in all RED and we even had Victoria's Secret perfume on!

So V-Day was well spent. I spent time with my baes and I am even including food here cuz...

FOOD IS BAE!!!

CNY was approaching and Asswipe, Suraj and me decided to go hunt for a job and that point of time. We ended up working as a waiter / waitress at a Chinese restaurant called Red House. It was my first ever F&B job and it was tiring for a newbie.

I usually get nervous on my first day and I did.. got a panic attack! heh

Thank god it became better.

This is Suraj and me on the day we went to the agency to seek for a job.

This was my state after working for the second day at the job. I was shagged and it was so late at night and I was so tire that I just decided to sit on the MRT floor.

The next day was a photoshoot for me all the way at Bayfront. Suraj decided to accompany me.

Sweetest Bro ever because he helped me lug my huge bags around as they were filled with clothes and heels.

It was my first shoot at such a crowded area, I mean I was being shot in the middle of MBS and so on and there were so many people staring. I just had to play it cool. (It was tough!!)

Atlas it was done and I could breathe again.

Then it was time to collect my pay and Asswipe and I had Marble Slab. I swear to God the mixture of the birthday cake mixture and cookie dough was spectacular!

I still kinda wish Singapore just sold bags of Cookie Dough like how in America they do sell it in Walmart. One day.. I'll lay my hands on Cookie Dough!!!

Well..Swensens! It was the first trip I made with Aby & Nini and in this process, I met Mata their aunt. She's such a lovely and easy to get along with woman. Too bad I didn't take a picture with Mata, Ashley and even the food!!!!

I had Aglio Olio (my FAV spaghetti) but Swensens only had the mushroom one.. so all I did was plucked out all of them and gave it to Nini. Even dessert was great. That was when I decided one day, The NiggAPACHE has to invade the Swensens at ION just for the ICE CREAM BUFFET! I mean come on! There's even a white chocolate fondue!

The 3 of us only canwhored after everything and looked tired as hell. Well, it was still a fun day!
