TNPNF Journey has officially ended for me. I am proud to say that I am a part of the alumni along with the other 19 girls as the 2014 batch. Next year, I will most definitely head down and give my full support to the bunch of new faces that will be appearing.
This blog is a bit on the pre finals. By that, I mean REHEARSALS like back to back.
Initially, rehearsals were held at the SPH buildings. After that, it was at Takashimaya, on the stage itself. It started at 9 and can drag all the way till really late. All the girls either had their parents drive them back or share a cab as there won't be any more public transport like buses and trains from Orchard at such an hour.
Why we stayed so long? We had to work with the other artistes like the hosts, The Dim Sum Dollies, the amazing dancers and even the male models had to know their choreography. We wanted to put on a splendid show and practically aimed for perfection.
I sure hope we brought people like Daniel and Bryan nothing but happiness and feeling proud. I also wished all of the audience had an amazing time watching the show.
More about the finals in my next blog.
For now, back to rehearsals..
This was on Tuesday, 30 Oct.
Our first rehearsals at Taka but hold up. Rehearsals only started at 9pm. We were busy since 10am.
So.. what were we doing? Fitting and hair of course! hahaha
We all had to be in our New Face Tank Tops
The first segment was to be Levi's and
from left to right: Rinna, Tiara and me
I loved that I was given a black crown and I felt like a Princess. Cuz of my outfit, I felt like a leader of the popular kids in a preppy school. Gossip Girl moment lived!
For this, I am seen wearing a white blazer, grey shirt and black leather shorts. However, my outfit was swapped with Mira. She is the girl standing behind wearing the matching top and skorts. This is for the second segment, New Look.
Our first fitting was at Paragon. It was Coast London and that was where we had a chance to wear our dresses. I do not have any pics during that fitting but the dress will most definitely be shown in the next blog for the finale.
After fitting, we all had some time to kill. We decided to head to Far East Plaza to have brunch. We split and I had lunch with the Malay girls (Tiara, Mira, Aisyah & Syiqah) at Puncak. I ordered Bee Hoon Goreng and it tasted simply divine! Best $5 spent!
After that, we went to Abercrombie and Fitch as Aisyah wanted to buy something. The last time I applied a job here, I didn't get it. This time, the manager-in-training gave me a card asked me to come for the interview. I guess, TNPNF brings me luck. Let's hope good news awaits as my interview is on Friday.
We had a little more time to kill before it was the hair appointment for some of us. My roots were curled up pretty bad and lots of touching up needed to be done, I was the girl who started out the earliest at 4pm. However, I was the last girl to leave at 7pm. Yeap... it's rebonding! That takes a lot of time. However, I cannot be more thankful that Monsoon was our hair sponsor.
I decided to stop by at Han's and I got myself a sausage puff and a....
BROWNIE!!!
It was just so heavenly.
I thought I had spoilt myself enough and had been spoilt with many gifts for the month of September. I had some cash left from the photoshoot and also had some spare time left before the rehearsals.
I made a stop at ION and was just wandering aimlessly around Sephora and I chanced upon this and told myself I just had to lay my hands on this GORGEOUS set. It's the Soaper Heroes set from Soap & Glory.
Fairul had been telling us all to moisturize and lotion up and I have been. The one I have been using is the Bath & Body Works : Coconut, Signature Vanillas body lotion. It smells so sweet as it has a sweet and strong smell of vanilla and a hint of coconut lingering.
The Soaper Heroes set! I CANNOT wait to use it!!!! I smelled the samples at the shop and it was just sexy and sweet and pretty much how I like it. The added benefit is this packaging! It's in such a pretty shade of PINK!!!!!!!!
Rehearsals time!!!!
Here's a video taken by Wee Teck. I know my catwalk has improved waaaaayyyy much more as compared to my Elite auditions 3 years back. However, I still need to be more confident, fierce and bring about a whole lot of sass and attitude. I have to bring about the "X Factor".
This was the last rehearsals before the finals. I welcomed October wearing my FAVORITE off shoulder dress.
I was practicing on the corridors on my own first before I brought about my A game!
This was taken with the very FAB Diya!!!! Or... should I say Biya!!! (hahaha! gurl you know why! It all started with Starbucks, find out in the next blog!)
Well, that's all for this blog. If you wanna know what I thought about the 19 girls... do read up my next blog. Maybe you will find out a thing or 2 about them that you never know. Also, you'll be reading on the finals and all the people I worked with.
Time for some America's Next Top Model Cycle 21!
I just LOVE the Drama, the fact that there are girls (Tooch) and guys (booch)... and also, HOW can anyone not like watching the QUEEN of Smize, Tyra Banks herself?!
I especially like Lennox this season.. but we'll see who makes it!
Till then
xoxo
