I'm typing this down as I'm waiting for my bus to arrive. I just finished shopping at IKEA.

I just bought 2 pink boxes to store my art supplies as the current boxes I'm using are show boxes. Although they are quite pretty..I want proper boxes.

In addition, I bought 2 scented candles for Fazilah. Yeap..Zizi's 21st ain't over that fast. The party is from 25-28. I selected one which was of vanilla (I mean who doesn't love vanilla), this is for her when she wants to feel sexy,sultry and relaxed. The other would be berries. They have a soothing fruity smell that she can use when she's feeling vibrant and bubbly. Here they are...

I wanted to share with you guys what I have been watching and reading lately..precisely why the title of this blog.

Books

I've been doing my best to read Brida, a book by Paulo Coelho that Sakthiish borrowed me.

Also I have been reading cookbooks and baking books becaus I've been wanting to bake really bad! Especially Red Velvet Cakes!! Hopefully I'll bake..but I wanna start of simple using the ingredients that I have at home instead of going to Fair Price to purchase them out of impulsiveness.

Movies

What I've been watching is mostly movies from baby's hard disk, like Warm Bodies, Lone Ranger etc...I'm waiting to watch The Great Gatsby and cannot wait for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air to be downloaded and transferred. I watched We're the Millers online. It's a sweet family movie that's really funny despite the number of F**Ks that were said in the movie.

I cannot wait to watch Percy Jackson and the sea monsters and also Runner Runner. I rarely have time to watch TV nowadays as Papa is always watching it because he is currently unemployed. Hopefully he'll find a job soon. I wanna see him happy..working..not moping and being unhappy and frustrated being cooped up in the house.

I have to be really focused..and my results are supposedly going to be released on the 8th.. I can't wait!!! Excited yet scared.

I'll be blogging a long one tomorrow..about Zizi's 21st..the gifts and all of those. Look forward to that.

Not that big a Shopping Spree & The X Factor USA

First off, some pictures that I want to share with all of you all...

Today I went shopping with Fazilah. Usually I would be a 100 times more excited and moreover I would actually be really going ALL-OUT SHOPAHOLIC! Today (due to my budget cuts) I had to restrict myself from shopping and not buy a lot of items. On the bright side though, there weren't many items which caught my attention.

I went to Victoria Secret (my ALL-TIME FAV Brand!) and admired all the pretty items which cost a fortune..2 perfumes really smelt heavenly. One was Bombshell Forever, the other was Noir Tease. The bags..none caught my attention and the make-up bags were okay. I am waiting for a better season so I can purchase a really pretty medium-sized make-up bag.

I purchased a beautiful laptop casing. I initially wanted to go Typo but then I totally forgot that it was located at 313 Somerset and not ION Orchard. Thank Goodness I managed to find Bershka!

It's off-white, which clearly means high-maintenance. Well, you know me. I love White! So i'll look after it to the best of my abilities!

After ION, Fazilah and I walked to Far East where I spent $7.00. That you may think it's normal..but it is so NOT! Because the 7 bucks that I spent was on Mee Soto! It was really nice though. It is located on the 5th floor (sorry, I can't remember the name though) . We sat there discussing her birthday plans (she is turning 21 by the way). After that, we walked around.

Way, before that my shoes were cutting into my skin. By then, it was bleeding so bad. I had to suck it up as I do not want to spoil Zizi's day. I was wearing plasters too which helped to cease the pain. 

I managed to buy 2 really beautiful flower headcrowns!

I am so in LOVE with them! 

Zizi bought more shoes and I was her Minion for the day, carrying her shopping bags..

We camwhored a little in the washroom. Also, I was experimenting with my Fish Eye Lens.

We walked from Far East to Ngee Ann City and along the way we saw a Lamborghini on display. I could not resist the temptation to take a pic.

After this, I dragged her to Takashimaya to show her Laduree. It was my first time there too! It looked really amazing. From the decor, to the layout, to the products itself. Simply fantastic.

I am going back to Orchard tomorrow. This time..alone and with Flip Flops. I will tell you more about the details on Thursday. I want to leave it in suspense for a while..hehehe

We took the MRT back home and Sharlini was right! The Night Bazaar was really opened!!! I had to seize this opportunity to purchase my Tutu Kueh! 

I got 5 for $3. (2 chocolate, 2 coconut and 1 peanut)

I SOOOO would recommend fellow Singaporeans and even tourists to give it a shot. It tastes really good. When you chew on the steamed bun, the flavor (depending on what you select) bursts in your mouth, leaving you wanting more! 

I am really tired as tomorrow, or should I say today will be a long, tiring day. Moreover, my day starts early. Come on Farhana! You can do this!

Before I go, I just wanted to share 2 videos with you guys! I really love watching The X Factor USA. I've been watching it since Season One. Melanie Amaro won followed by Tate Stevens who beat Carly Rose Sonenclare and won the title for having "The X Factor" last year. Who will it be this year?

The auditions are still on-going. I wanted to share with y'all 2 performances/acts that I really fell in love with. They may just be audition tapes but I'm serious when I say look out for them..

RiRi X TWG X Sushi X Tutu Kueh

Rihanna

I am a SUPER HUGE Rihanna fan! I have loved her ever since she started out..come on, she can sing, dance, she's so sexy (well VS awarded her for being the Sexiest Woman and also she was awarded The Sexiest Woman Alive of 2012)

Well, today is Sunday (23rd September to be exact). Rihanna will be coming to Padang to perform (The Formula One)!

I actually had a chance to go. Original ticket prices were going for like $250++. Thank god, through my babe, Afiqah, I got to know her friend's sister. That girl, was willing to sell me the ticket for only $68! And then I can go to Padang early and watch my RiRi. I was so excited and all to go as this was my first concert and also because it was RIHANNA!

But,guess what guys.. I turned the offer down and I am NOT going! Y'all may think I am CRAZY but..I'm being honest..I'll end up watching the concert on Youtube or maybe MTV if they show it.. The reason why I didn't go was because firstly I have no kaki (my friends either had to pay the $250 or they were not huge fangirls). Another reason The NiggAPACHE.

Yes, my reason sound kind of mushy but that's the honest truth. So I am missing this wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I thought maybe I can try to find her in like Singapore..but haish (still no kaki for that). So I guess I'll go to a live concert next year or maybe in the near future along with the guys and babe.

There are many outlets in Singapore but I want to go to this one!

I mean just look at this place. Not only is this place fancy but look at the Weekday/Weekend/Set menus!!! They simply look amazing, so delicious and of course edible! The food and tea is slightly more expensive but come on, this place is so lavish!

I am hoping to go here soon..yeap it's expensive. So,maybe in the near future also.

SUSHI

I am sooooo NOT a huge fan of Japanese or Korean food. I am okay with seaweed but not Sushi. Sakthiish was the one who introduced me to Takoyaki (which I so LOVE now) so..I've decided to give a shot at Sushi..the only reason why,would be because I want to try Salmon (for the 1st time).

I've tried Sushi before. I literally puked. So, I'm hoping Salmon will taste nice enough and that I'll actually enjoy Sushi. I am a girl who wants to be able to try and enjoy as many food as possible. So..Sushi here I come..well soon!

TUTU KUEH

I have a total craving to try Tutu Kueh. Especially the coconut one and the peanut one. Best part..Sharlini said that the Pasar Malam is opened..I am hoping to try that. Maybe tonight or tomorrow. 

I shall end this blog now as I am really hungry and did not have proper breakfast or lunch. Prata awaits me! Lover-Boy is going to treat me! Thank God! I am really starving. I cannot wait for tomorrow though. "SHOPPING" with Zizi! So excited!!! Going to Orchard after ages! Sadly..cannot shop but at least I'm happy that Zizi will be elated at that she'll get her wallet. And..laptop casing, flower headcrowns and possibly macaroons..hehehe Miss Part-Time Shopaholic is going to her turf!
